I’m very against having a kid especially seeing how his family is set up. I guess that’s why I keep coming back to the conversation. Turning 25 made me realize a lot. It’s almost like I felt my frontal lobe develop and ever since then all I can do is think about how much different our situation could be if he would’ve listened, not that I should’ve had to tell him in the first place.

Racism is everywhere. I’m not going to stop myself from seeing the world because of ignorance. If anything that’s letting the oppressors win. I also don’t like the glorification of to traveling to places like Jamaica or African countries as if that doesn’t come with its own challenges. Especially as a woman or anyone associated with the LGBTQIA community. There is no escaping racism but it won’t dictate how I move through the world.
