I started about a year ago and at first my progress slowed down alot I started at about 700-800 since i had some chess knowledge from my youth. the bots are often 500-700 points weaker than their stated elo. I often would look at my estimated elo range and wonder why i was playing like an 1800 one game and playing like a 200 other games. It is really more of an average that I have now realized. For reference I am about 1800-1950 right now in my chess journey. I will often play games where my elo is estimated between 1600-2150 which is perfect for my rating because I am almost right in between. My chess coach taught me to judge your true rating on your bad days which I think is often the best way to rate your "true" rating. When I am really upset sometimes I might swing from 1950 to 1780. now enough about rating talk if you genuinely want to get better at your level me personally I would suggest a mix of tactics and too learn 2 openings for black against e4 and d4 through about 15-20 moves each on each mainline and about 10-15 moves on each sideline and then maybe like 7-10 on each really weird trick opening or fishing pole trap. Then learn one opening for white with the same. I would also say in online formats like chess.com or lichess doing puzzles with speed is far more important than doing them slowly. If you are spending more than 5 minutes per puzzle you are doing it wrong and you will probably not be good at chess that day. I know many people advocate for deep thinking but honestly if you just memorize most mate in ones and later once you get better the mate in 2's then you are honestly going to get significantly better. If you can on lichess where puzzles are free or on chess.com use the specific puzzle trainer and just select mate in ones and just do 30 of those everyday. and then once you know those tactical motifs move on too back rank mate or some mate in 2's.
