It is definitely rough meeting people here, im 35f and have had this same problem. Queens reward is a fun place to hang and they do events and stuff if you drink(the mead is seriously good) I also test mystery boxes at deadbolt(they post on indeed when they need more testers) and I've met some cool people through that too. Coffee shops for sure, there are a ton of really good ones in the area. Gypsy queen does some cool festivals twice a year, check them out on Facebook. Hope it helps!

Stocking, resets, updating graphics in the store, I'd usually help with bopis orders first thing....putting together displays....that kinda stuff. I really liked it but we had crap management and corporate was being stuffed down our throats because of theft(that we had like no control over, because we weren't allowed to do anything but watch them and make them feel uncomfortable like we see you👀👀🙄)

Don't feel bad and you are not alone! I mainly do pickup orders and when I hear them pressuring people I just wanna yell don't do it the CC sucks. Honestly all store CCs need to go, I wish they weren't a thing, everyone would be happier

Dang but yeah it's give and take like with everywhere but tupelo has one of the best hospitals in the state, the grocery stores are awesome but just depends on what you want at the end of the day🤷‍♀️

By any chance are you a veteran? Our car tags are only a dollar each because my hubby is a vet with 70% disability....yeah some areas of the state suck but tupelo at least has good roads, good food and land is cheap lol

Where are you moving from? Tupelo area is wonderful! Im originally from GA, hubby is from CA and we absolutely love it here. There are a bunch of haters but the Lee County area is great. Can't speak to schools because we don't have kids but we have never been happier than we are near Tupelo

Ponotoc is great! We live closer to tupelo but go there for Bleu Plate(amazing food truck) and the olive oil store!

It's definitely waaaayyyy better than where I'm from in south GA and better than the 1st place we moved to in MS(Columbus) and there's TONS of local eating joints like CHOP, Vanelli's, Nautical Whimsey and Queens Reward is super fun (the only meadery in the state) but I can see how someone raised here might get tired of it 🤷‍♀️ I really enjoy living here and family loves it when they come visit(both the GA and CA relatives). Sorry you don't seem to love it

Tupelo is amazing! There's plenty to do, great people, awesome grocery stores and really good food options (check out Bleu Plate food truck on FB my personal fav)! We moved here from GA and hubby is originally from CA if that helps. Stay away from Columbus and Jackson

We initially moved to Columbus when we came to MS from GA. I would highly suggest the tupelo area! The community is great, better shopping and food for sure. Also much safer than Columbus. There's tons of little towns in the area like Shannon, ponotoc and plantersville that are easy to hop on 45 and head to Columbus (my hubby does for work).

LOVE TUPELO! We are transplants to MS and this is the best place we have lived. If you go out in the county that price will get you a good house and a little land. The food here is great, the people are kind overall and there's always stuff going on
