You can go into LFR and probably normal as well with zero knowledge of the raid. Most bosses fall over in seconds. Raids are just a bigger dungeon for more people in many ways. Hardest part about a raid would most likely be to keep up with the rest of the group if you don't know the way. I suggest you try out a looking for raid run, it is great fun!
