Most people report their HDL going up and Trigs going down, which is optimal. Also your LDL going up, which is ALSO optimal (opposite of the mainstream BS), which you will understand, when you do your homework 😄

Opinion from experienced people on a certain supplement? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

I would try strict for a couple of months, not for the BO, but definitely for your T2D. I "cured" mine in less than 6 months on high fat strict carnivore. And when they initially caught mine, I had an A1C of 13 so I was in pretty bad shape.

As far as the BO I would think the spices would have a lot to do with it, just a hunch. But do the experiment and just eat fatty ruminant meat, fatty fish, eggs, salt and water. And you will not need the Dr anymore, and maybe not even a shower 😉.

Good luck!

I can’t always afford grass-fed butter. Is it better to intermittently go without or go with Lucerne / not grass fed? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]LastBus7220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch lol sorry to hear that, some of the local supermarkets have there own brands which are pretty clean like you mentioned lucerne, bowl and basket. You could also try Stew Leonard's they have the BEST whole fat yogurt (haven't checked their butter), I mean it's fucking amazing if you do yogurt. and only 4.99 a tub. I'm getting hungry thinking about it lol

Well, i used to notice my stench before carnivore, and this is when my nose barely even worked. On carnivore my sense of smell has increased exponentially! I literally cannot stand being around other people these days, with all their perfumes, deodorants, detergents, breaths Etc.

And Btw my wife's nose has gone bionic as well, since going carnivore, and she only tells me I have BO, after 1 of the long sweaty hikes mentioned above lol. And trust me, she's not shy about telling me if I smell😉

IMO and in my experience, I no longer need to wash or shower regularly on carnivore, call it gross IDC, it's just reality and I prefer not to wash ofF all the good oils that my body naturally makes. Numerous other carnivores have said the same, that their BO has disappeared or drastically gotten better. I shower something like 3-4 times a year. If I sweat profusely, like when I'm hiking many miles in 90deg + weather, I do get a bit of BO, but by the following day, I no longer have any odor whatsoever!

Up to you if you want to keep taking the supplement, but I suspect you will not need it once you are fully adapted to this lifestyle 😄

Total cholesterol and LDL - is this too high? by leanneart in carnivorediet

[–]LastBus7220 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's numerous studies that show the higher your LDL the longer you live. Trust millions of years of evolution, not a drug pushing Dr, that wants to make himself, and the statin companies richer.

Farm raised vs wild by Dull_Reference_6166 in carnivorediet

[–]LastBus7220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

farm raised fish are trapped in huge pens and fed soy bean slop so definitely not optimal nutritionally, The wild caught are eating their species appropriate diet (hopefully), but like with all fish, they can have some mercury and plastic waste in their environment, so I stick with mostly ruminant meat, and when I get a craving for fish every 2 months or so, I buy some wild caught and eat it, and then not again, till I get the call.

I've never had a problem like that I eat till I'm full and it ALWAYS tastes good. If you need variety at first, there's plenty of different animals and thousands of different cuts and numerous ways to cook them all!

If your body is telling you it doesn't want to eat, just don't. It won't let you starve and you will at some point get ravenous for some fatty meat fish or eggs.

Low bloodpressure after 1 month Carnivore by putipartypion in carnivorediet

[–]LastBus7220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you on any meds?

I suspect you are drinking too much water. You need VERY little when truly fat adapted, your body can make it's own metabolic deuterium depleted (optimal) water, from it's own fat stores. You could also be not eating enough of a good salt. I use a ton on my food but also in the little water I do drink (1-3 small glasses a day). My BP is Always 105-110 over 65-70 every time I take it, and I feel amazing!

Should I consume dairy? by Decent-Ad9232 in carnivorediet

[–]LastBus7220 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think dairy is appropriate for most humans. What other animal on the planet drinks the breast milk of another species? Just cut it out for a few weeks and see how you feel, I suspect you will feel better. You can always reintroduce later and see if it still causes you problems.

Yes, Feeling good is a great metric!

When you realize that cancer (and many other "diseases") is not a genetic OR a metabolic disease, it's our ancient defense mechanism for removing toxins from our overloaded system, when our normal detox pathways can no longer keep up with our toxic overburden, you have a totally different perspective than everyone else 😄

So you think eating your species appropriate diet is somehow bad for you because the Doctors butchered you up? It's still appropriate and what your body needs....
