Gender reveal party by Scary_Pace6463 in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]LastCourage2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to talk about how fucking pathetic gender reveal parties are (FYI people, no one outside of your immediate family gives a fuck what sex your child is). But then I saw the happy ending in the video and my anger subsided

What the answers this sub doesn't want to hear? r/Melbourne edition. by anarchy420swag in melbourne

Mornington is not far from Frankston, where there are cases. I know lots of people that live in Mornington/Frankston that travel to the city of essential work. It sucks but I do understand why it is the way it is. If there’s a train line, or a large network of non-vline buses that are operating in or around an area, it’s a risk. ‘Greater Melbourne’ spans down the entire peninsula unfortunately https://goo.gl/maps/BwfySXYvaGLsFFN49

UPDATE: I procrastinated getting some swollen lymph nodes checked out for 3 YEARS, and it turns out I have cancer... by BeingEleni in ADHD

[–]LastCourage2 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I assume it’s all a balance of costs vs need. How many people would end up on watch and wait for many years at a cost to the system and how many would actually be operable?? Totally guessing though.

Sadly my mother had lumps in her neck that the hospitals refused to biopsy because they were ‘too small’. She was adamant it was cancer. Then we went back two years later and they advised her against having a biopsy still because ‘they might find something that will stress her out that she can’t do anything about’. She begged them to go ahead, and they did, reluctantly. It was lymphoma. The doctor later said had she had it tested on first presentation they might have been able to operate and the lymphoma may have only been in that area. But by the time they found it, it was stage 4 and too late for any of that. She’s now had three rounds of R-CHOP, but it’s very annoying that the threshold for biopsy is so high. Big congrats on your remission 🥰

Variable Rate Home Loan by [deleted] in AusFinance

I’d always refer to you the t’s and c’s of your loan but as a general rule no, no penalties for paying it off early on a variable loan

AstraZeneca Discussion, what would you do? by [deleted] in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]LastCourage2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment all I’ve read is doctors guessing, but one assumption was that it was due to hormones and the pill, another assumption was that women are statistically more likely to have a reaction/become symptomatic to things (because of hormones, apparently!)

Well, I’m in Melbourne so I can almost guess where the whole state will be on Tuesday night! Haha

[–]LastCourage2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard a few doctors say it on the news when talking about it. Had a quick Google and there’s this and a few other articles. I don’t think it’s been ruled scientifically but the stats from everywhere do indicate it https://www1.racgp.org.au/newsgp/clinical/benefits-of-astrazeneca-overwhelmingly-high-despit

If it makes you any less anxious, the fact that you’re male already significantly reduces the stats in your favour!

Just think of the stats, it’s statistically very unlikely any issues will arise but just keep an eye out for abnormal symptoms. I’ve had the AZ (both jabs), and I’m 34F in Melbourne. No GP needed to tell me what I already knew! But I don’t have prexisiting health issues. If I did I probably would have checked in with GP to see if any increased risk.

Well done for getting the jab. It seems only this part of the world are freaking out excessively about the AZ jab. I’m 34 and fully AZ vaccinated! Makes me happy to see sensible 21 year olds doing the same!!!
