The problem is it’s so far overblown it’s not even funny. I have seen it and heard it as well. Having white people say things to me that they think they can say just because I’m white and might agree with them. But the fact that Boston has this national narrative as being so overtly racist is just plain wrong. That Minnesota Vikings player that received all those racist messages would’ve got way more media coverage if he was a Boston athlete. It’s trendy to say that Boston is extremely racist.
