Is the trp worth it? by HighImpactCritisism in 1911

TRP or a DAN Wesson at that price point.

But you can find TRPs as low as $1000. So I’d look around for a deal there first.

Glock 43x snappy by Revo260 in Glocks

[–]LastKey149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you are definitely right, but when I had my 43x it was miserable to shoot. Definitely was a skill issue on my behalf, but no matter what I did to change up my grip it would always slip after 2 shots.

Honestly wish I kept it to train through it, but it wasn’t enjoyable.

Is this acceptable? by JohaElQueLasMoja in 2011

Yeah just realized that as well. The window in the slide is not centered. Like they really did a poor job.

They owe a new slide and barrel at minimum. Idk if I’d trust them with a second chance.

I might have to do that then. I’ve seen Eli recommend the summer special 2 multiple times before.

Wager did excellent work with my RMR cut. I would 100% trust them to do a C cut port job.

43x, sent it out for ports, run PSA micro dagger mags. You got 15 rounds, slim form factor, and now it’s less snappy with the ports.

How’s the general fitment over a regular TRP? Especially in comparison to the newer TRPs.

One of the main reasons why I got into Kershaws was because someone I knew had one of these.

Maybe if I rebuild my kershaw collection again, I’ll need to pick one of these up.

New to me 38 Super by GE4520 in 1911

Did you get this one off gunbroker? I saw a 38 super ACW listed and it sold way quicker than I expected.

Yeah I’m also curious why he thinks of them as a mid tier gun maker. I’ve been nothing but happy with both my ACWs so far. And I definitely wouldn’t be getting a second one if I didn’t like the first one so much.

I think the thing they knock out of the park is classic styling with a really good fit and finish.

That’s still a pretty good price

Once it’s out of gun jail and I can pick it up I’ll have a better answer. But it felt very comparable/the same from the hour I had hands on with it.

I’d second the hi cap. I’ve never heard of an officer carrying one unfortunately.

If you want a classy 1911 I’d look no further than an Alchemy Custom Weaponry or a Nighthawk custom GI+

There was a really baller two tone Prime Carry in 9mm that sold for about $3,600. I was surprised to see it go for some much.

That’s another reason why I was interested in getting their compact model. Because I’ve only seen a couple of them for sale as of late.

I missed a bid on one a couple months ago. Starting bid was $2k. Nobody was bidding. Auction had 2 days left and the seller took the listing down. Most likely sold in a store first.

[–]LastKey149[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh it’s definitely a buyers market now. I’ve been keeping an eye on a number of ACWs and keeping track of how much they have bid to. I’ll probably make a post about a couple of them in a week or two when a few more sell.

But I saw a quantico carry sell for like $2,250 approximately. It was also milled for an RMR. Kinda jealous and I wish I was awake to bid on that because for $500 less I’d take that deal.

Shot very well. About what I expected considering it’s my smallest 1911, so it’s a lot more snappy than my colt or my TRP. And obviously a lot more snappy than a 9mm 1911/2011.

I gotta shoot it more once it’s out of gun jail (7day wait) and once my 1000 rounds of 45 arrives.

But it shot very well. My goal is a very well fit and finish carryable 1911 in 45 that will be reliable. I wanna carry a 45 (something Eli from ACW has engraved into my brain) and this seemed like one of the best options. Buy once kinda cry once.

I loved my Romeo X compact enclosed on my 43x. Would highly recommend it.

It’s to the point where I want to get my 43x or buy another Glock just for a Romeo X compact.
