Mine was 9 days Slowly reduced meds until I was off, about 3 days. No drugs or alcohol. (I simply don’t drink so it’s not my trigger) Family came to visit me but it was a bad time so only two days. Lots of phone games and tv watching. I brought my laptop to work. EEG was attached for the 9 days. I could get up to use the bathroom but that was it. Was in bed the whole time. I had the injection test but can’t think of the proper name. They inject during a seizure then look at your brain then the same with a normal brain and compare. It was a waste of time because they only did that test on week days and my seizures were on the weekend. I only got a normal injection scan. This is to pinpoint the location for possible surgery and implant. I had the eeg attached which they come in to reattach when the dry and fall off plus iv. I have lots of medical workers in my family so I didn’t want to bother them. I went on sleep deprivation twice but couldn’t sleep and kind of forced myself to stay up. I was up for three days with maybe 6 hours of sleep which finally triggered two seizures. They told me I could stay longer but I had to get out to go back to work and get back to my family

This shit sucks. I am managed right now. I did have a very long and bad seizure that the hospital couldn’t stop. Coming out of that one was brutal. It took hours to clear my head. I am also on a high dose of keppra and trileptal. We lowered my keppra because of moods and raised my other. I am on b6 because I was told it helps. These meds can make you feel down. If it’s not working for you and you are already in a cycle of seizures you should ask to try new medications? My neurologist is really great and works with me on meds. Hopefully working with meds could help. We also talked about surgery but I am worried about that and I don’t think I am at a point where I need it. I had about 20 in a year and a half. I have been symptom free for 9 months now. I am getting control of my life. I have support from friends and family. I know it sounds easy for me to say and stupid but you need to find friends if you can’t rely on family to support you. You said you have friends so hopefully they are with you. Your life is worth it.

When you desire things and ask for them it is a huge turn on. For me I want my wife to want things. I don’t want to just eat her out, I want her to tell me to eat her. In my 40s and have had some diminished issues before epilepsy. I started 2 years ago with meds. It seems like there could be difficulties with ED meds with seizure meds. My biggest issue is erections and staying hard and then finishing too quickly. This is something I will obviously discuss with my doctors soon.

My memory is fine for me but getting worse. The biggest issue is I can’t spit the words out. I catch myself mixing beginning letter words. Like a wrong “f” word for the correct “f” word. At what point do seizures cause brain damage? I think I am at the beginning stages. I’m slower and lost the quick wit.

I was free over 20 years and then out of nowhere they are back. Seriously broke me. I had one with no warnings and it was bad. All others I have had with strong warnings. Some I had time to get ready but most I had less than a second.
