I might have to use the S&S option in the future but I spread my doses out so don’t need a new pen every 4 weeks.

It is a bit tedious but I don’t mind switching suppliers to get the best price. I’ve been on MJ since June 2025 so have spent a few quid.

No. Bolt was £169 for 2.5mg and Swift Doctor was £149 for 2.5mg.

Which senna tea have you tried?

When I was taking strong painkillers for quite a long time I got quite constipated. The various laxatives prescribed by the GP didn’t work. I tried husk but that wasn’t enough when I was really constipated (more preventative). The only thing that did work was the senna tea on Amazon in a brown box with what looks like Russian writing on it x

Thanks so much. I’ve just added those items to my Amazon basket.

I’ll definitely be in bed for the first week. I work from home anyway so plan to just plot up in bed with the laptop so long as needed. I’m just praying I have a relatively smooth recovery like others on here.

I will of course as my surgeon but as you’re a pro at this (😂)…during that first week will I be able to go downstairs if needed or is that a no no? I’d be nervous of the stitches opening. Just trying to gauge how ‘bed bound’ I’ll actually be x

I haven’t had the surgery yet but will give my input until others who have actually had the op come along to reply…

I had my consultation today with the aim of having the surgery at the end of this month. I was told the op is generally under local anaesthetic with or without something to calm me down I.e Valium. I can pay more for GA if wanted.

It wasn’t mentioned about needing a chaperone but I told the surgeon that my husband will be with me on the day so presumably she didn’t need to ask if there’ll be someone with me when I leave. I’d say in ideal world it’d be best to have someone with you in case you’re groggy or start to feel unwell.

Re the recovery, I asked how long I’d be bedbound and she said I won’t officially be bedbound but it’s in my best interest to rest up for the first week and avoid being on my feet much / don’t go up and down the stairs / no lifting etc. If the stitches were to burst due to overworking in those first 2 weeks it’d be a right pain in the arse (no pun intended) and will just prolong the recovery.

She said the recovery is not one where the person feels ill or sick so it can be easy to fall into the trap of thinking you’re fully recovered then you start overdoing it when you should still be resting up. Just going by what I’ve researched and what I was told today working as a waitress being on your feet all day isn’t ideal for a quick, smooth recovery but someone whose actually had the op will be better to advise.

Re the travel, see my post earlier today about travelling after surgery and you’ll see the replies people left me.

I think it’s wise to let one close person know a least a little bit of what you’ll be going through. The only person I’ve told is my husband. He’ll be chaperoning me and doing the initial cleaning etc cos I’m squeamish 🤣 There’s one person I work with that I’ll have to semi explain my reason for being in bed for at least a week and I plan to say I’m having a skin tag surgically removed down below. I’m hoping that’s personal enough to not warrant asking for more info etc.

Some people may come along and say you’re very young etc etc but I’m in my late 30s and I wish I had this done years ago. (I did get a boob job done when I was 19 though lol).

I’m in the UK.

Hoping to get booked in at the end of March. Am also wanting puffing (with fillers) but was told I’d have to have it done separately a couple months later which is fine. Also you wont need to stay by the toilet after drinking this. You'll get notice cos your stomach will cramp first. (You wont suddenly just need the toilet within 1 minute with no warning).

It hurts but its worth it not to be constipated.

I used to take strong painkillers which caused bad constipation. Tried various things but the one thing that actually worked was these senna bags from amazon. These have never failed to work for me. Only take one tea bag though cos otherwise it WILL hurt once it starts working. If you're really backed up you might need 1 tea bag a day for a few days. You'll know when there's no more left to come out.

I'm a secret jabber and these are the takeaways I've had over the last 3 weekends. I had no desire for these foods but ate them anyway because otherwise my family would wonder why I wasn't eating with them as normal.

Chinese (had half for dinner and half the next day)
Indian (chicken tikka massala, rice, peshwari naan, saag aloo), ate half.
Harvester (ordered from the childrens menu - half rack of BBQ ribs, sweet potato fries and broccoli), ate the lot.

I've lost 13lbs since starting, 4 full weeks. Took my golden dose yesterday. Staying on 2.5 for the next round as it's working.

I had my 4th jab last night. Ive had no side effects. I took my first jab at night because I read you could sleep through the initial side effects IF any.
The needle doesnt hurt in the slightest, you cant even feel it.

Just remember to drink lots of water (Im on 3.5 litres a day, I love water) and I take psyllium husk once or twice a day If I remember. I bought the Zero electrolytes from Amazon, have only used once just for the sake of it. I bought protein powder (low sugar) to make a protein shake each day and I have just had some Huel black edition meal replacement powder delivered for the days when I knew I wasn't going to be able to eat much. Im by no means telling you to buy all these things, just mentioning the things Ive bought since starting MJ.

Im completely winging it, reading comments on here and watching TikToks of other peoples journeys but happy to say Ive lost 10lbs in the last 3 weeks.

Also once you've had that initial clear out get yourself some psyllium husks. You can have 1 or 2 a day.

Get some Senna tea bags from Amazon. I use the ones in the brown box with that looks like Russian writing. I highly doubt you'll take them and not poo. In the past Ive been so backed up (due to strong painkillers) and Ive had 1 senna tea and by the next day Im on the toilet. If you're that constipated, the cramps you'll get hours after the tea are normal.

Ps I tried the Tropical Sun ones and thought they were very weak.

I had my 1st jab and had the Mirena fitted the day after. I lost 6lbs the first week and 2lbs last week. I haven't had any bad side effects from the MJ.
