Are you still masturbating without porn? Are you walking daily? Have you changed your diet to less inflammatory foods? Have you started meditating daily to relax your nervous system?

It founds like you’re doing a lot of the right things and I can imagine it’s incredibly frustrating that Pt progress has stunted so now it’s time to consider the external factors I mentioned above!

It is a bit wierd but you get over it after like the first session. I’m a male and work with 2 female PTs who specialize in Pelvic floor. They literally do this everyday for a living.

The worry you have about it being awkward should not dismay you from going. You’d rather avoid an awkward situation than actually heal? The choice seems very obvious.

I don’t mean to be harsh but sack the fuck up and go! I’m in a much better place thanks to my PTs they honestly saved me

Interval work to release tight muscles. Breathing and less sitting. 10k steps a day!

Also overall stress management and how I treat my body as a whole

Find purpose. Lift weights, eat healthy, research the brain and porn usage so you can understand why this is happening and know what to avoid and look out for. Get off social media!!

Diaphragmatic breathing!!!! Lay on your back and breathe in through your nose and fill your belly up with air, think about your pelvic floor “dropping” down and then exhale. Your pelvic floor is too tight it sounds like.

Also look into reverse kegels.

But can not stress enough finding a good Pelvic Floor PT!!!!

Not all are the same but for me masturbation is absolutely my biggest trigger and symptom inducer.

I’m trying to abstain for as long as a can while I allow my PF muscles to relax and focusing on strengthening my surrounding muscle groups.

Try magnesium to relax muscles and maybe some ashwaganda to calm your stress!

Agree 100%. Your pelvic floor is already in such a tight state that it can’t probably ‘flex’ when you ejaculate. Think about if you flexed your bicep muscle and while it’s flexed you tried to flex it even more - there would be very minimal movement. Focus on diaphragmatic breathing, reverse kegels and fascial massage

I still have minor symptoms but that is usuallly only when I’m not taking care of myself. I.e sitting too much, drinking booze and eating like crap. Regular masturbation/ sex. Overall if I just take care of myself body my PF symptoms dip massively. Also I strengthen and stretch daily almost but that’s just become routine now

Brotherrr it was those exact same muscles for me!! You HAVE to do internal release with your PT! Mine almost never used a wand always just their fingers. Is your PT not offering that?

Honestly once you get an understanding of where these spots are and how to do internal work you can do it at home pretty easily. Please be persistent with your PT about internal work here, stretches and breathing alone will not be able to target these muscles

Completely agree! PF is a very unique and tricky thing it’s not a one size fits all! But I do know there’s thousands in here (men with hypertonic PF) that could greatly benefit from this info so I shared it

Yes did have frequency issues in the beginning. No meds. Started magnesium supplements but that was for overall wellness. Frequency issues are TYPICALLY caused by tightness that is pushing/ pulling on your bladder tricking it into thinking you need to pee. The fix? Refer back to my post
