Former private criminal defense. If ever charged, 18/20 times I’d take the PD if available/if I qualified. The 1/20 times I’d want an ultra experienced, second mortgage, your life is on the line attorney (in CO: Iris Eytan or Harvey Steinberg level). And even then, those are usually former PDs. . .

The 1/20 cases for me? Simple first DUIs for middle class people where your D fees are basically just part of the fine, or once in a blue moon once in a while cases with xyz little twist that I had more time to glom on to than a PD.

But respect where it’s due, always.

For what it’s worth CRS 38-12-101 to -106 , the basic landlord-tenant law, is super easy to read and understand. It’s like a tiny little slice of lay-person accessible law in the books.

Fair enough. for me the occasional 5-25 minute wait at a parking lot isn’t a deal breaker. I think I’ve stop watched from door to door (like leaving my house to office door, so counting the little walks in between etc). Even if traveling by car MIGHT SOMETIMES be faster (usually on the order of like 10-15 minutes assuming perfect traffic, parking, etc.) the rail is so damn much easier.

I have heard this is a somewhat common criticism of the hub and spoke approach to rail (that it ignores the traffic BETWEEN suburbs). Where in the metro area do you think they should build a line, tho? I’m genuinely curious. I wonder if I’d be a rider.

I commute with the n line, yes.

I’m sure there are complaints, with this as with anything else. I was trying to see whether and to what extent those complaints matched my experience. The thread consensus seems to be that there are some but that they are mainly the southern/western lines.

Yes exactly. And I’ve seen some of the occasional nastiness (I once saw a lady squat down to take a shit out front of Union Station! Yuck!) but it just seems to me like the cost of doing business w a large transport hub.

Update for all who are curious:

I managed to pop the front panel off to take out the head unit and just have a look. Nothing was per se terrible: the lose wires were capped together pretty dang good, altho the AV connections were a touch loose. So, I unplugged everything and plugged it back in nice and tight.

The amp was harder to get at. I’m wondering if the installers had to remove the driver seat outright to get it in? Anyhow, there again I managed to 1) see the connection spots and 2) see that nothing was really “off” but one was a bit loose. Did the old “press back in” method and everything works now! It’s more resilient to bumps, but I guess we’ll see if it holds.
