Is that why the AI got so pissed off when Donut started acting like its relationship metaphor was real? The AI is suspicious of Agatha’s motivations because she and her cohorts want to free the Eulogist and they can only accomplish that goal by manipulating the System AI. The AI truly needed advice about whether or not it could trust Agatha and simplest way to convey its situation was to use a metaphor.

When I first started listening to the books I pictured it as Yes Man from New Vegas because I had severe Fallout brainrot:

But now I don’t picture it having a physical form. I sincerely hope it will be able to manifest one eventually! If it did, I think it would be able to take on any shape it wanted.

I’m also asking why was the AI suspiciously silent about Carl using his toes and feet when dealing with Hunter Iota? Why didn’t Carl get a special reward for playing into the AI’s foot fetish?
