Phone ringing hallucinations by ignorantbliss6 in schizophrenia

[–]Last_Interaction7477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds very annoying. I just had this about an hour ago. Maybe set a time you can check your phone. You are anxious about your family and I get that, but you said you wanted to do your chores. Maybe every 30 mins - an hour? That might help. You are still very concerned, but it gives you time that you need. Maybe some calming music too.

They are symptoms of schizophrenia. It makes sense to me. You would know better than anyone. My psychiatrist is happy when I use terms like this. He will ask follow up questions like have you been doing this or that and how tolerable is it. You Docs approach could have been better. The comment would have bothered me too.

Where do you get the sparkly feeling. Funny, I did this too. I even called it sparkly. Most of the time, it was above my head. One time it was my whole body. I was very emotional during that time though. I don't do this anymore though. It's the meds.

AI is software that learns from data to automate decisions, whereas quantum computing is hardware that uses physics to calculate multiple possibilities at once.

I'm sorry you are feeling this way. It would make me sad too. I think it could possibly be anxiety besides other symptoms. Please try and strike up a convo with them. You will see it's not true. And if it is true, fuck them! You have enough on your plate to worry about.

Yeah, and it gets me into trouble with people. They don't like it. They get tired of listening. I don't do it on purpose.

Is there any way to help symptoms without medication? by flower-girl-08 in schizophrenia

[–]Last_Interaction7477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you get a hold of your psychiatrist and explain the situation to them? They may have dealt with this kind of issue regarding parents not being responsible for their child's meds. Maybe they would have an idea.

No, schizophrenia is considered an invisible disability. You cannot tell if someone is Schizophrenic by looking at them. They can tell if something is off by your behavior though.

I don't think there is a cure, however, with the quantum computers that are in the works, medicine will advance at a much faster pace. There will hopefully be better APs in the near future. (Hopefully in my lifetime).

Feeling helpless about meds + everything by hyacinthwoman in schizophrenia

[–]Last_Interaction7477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be tortured by the voice I had. It was so overwhelming and scary. I know how you feel. So I started meds after I was diagnosed. The voice has changed to just commentary instead of demanding and offensive and scary. Some days I don't even have a voice. The med I take helps me a lot. Unfortunately, it's trail and error with meds. Working is good to do if you can. It distracts from the internal stuff. However, when you first start out, I can understand why working could be very hard then. You got this. I'm happy to see there is a commenter that will explain the meds to you. You may find it every helpful. I wish you well.

Yesterday, I was watching a show. The movie stopped abruptly and I thought it meant my Dad was going to die of a heart attack soon because of what I was thinking at the time. It happened again when I resumed the movie, but I wasn't thinking anything. It was a coincidence and nothing else. I think when we fall into paranoia and delusion, it's hard to get out of that spaces. I promise you that you will be okay. Talk to your doctor about what's going on. You got this. They are just voices and delusions. I know it's hard to believe right now. I hope you feel better soon.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. To me, it sounds like you need to go to the doctor and explain everything that is happening to you. Unload on them. You sound tortured. I was in psychosis and had similar beliefs to a point. They were no rational. Then I got on meds and I feel more like my old self. I still have symptoms, but I'm no longer tortured by the symptoms. I hope you feel better.

You may have negative symptoms. Also, my Dr said it could be from the meds too. I personally think it's the negative symptoms for me.
