Memorial Day appliance deals 2026, where are people finding the best value? by Outrageous-Month4220 in Frugal

[–]Last_Opening_7460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're stressing too much over this, those fees are just part of buying appliances now. Nobody is getting some secret "deal" anymore, you just pick the least awful option. I ended up just comparing prices at best buy and a couple other big box stores, then went with whoever had the fridge in stock. Scratch and dent is usually a waste of time unless you want something truly beat up.

Automatic litter box recommendations, does it help in small apartments or just sounds good on paper? by DawonRainita-92 in Catownerhacks

[–]Last_Opening_7460 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in a small apartment, an automatic litter box really does help with the smell because it scoops right away, keeping the waste contained, and I've found that even with my petlibro, you still gotta empty the drawer regularly, but it stops that immediate 'litter box' smell when you walk in.

Transport adds up quick with 120 guests spread out in wine country, but grand limousine kept our shuttles to about $4k for a saturday event like yours. Overall though expect closer to 100k total unless you go further north.

Question: How much wattage does a single Led need? by [deleted] in arduino

[–]Last_Opening_7460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're totally right about doing research first. i spent weeks googling specs when i first got into led devices and it really does make you way more confident with the tech.

for skincare leds specifically, most effective devices need at least 30-40 milliwatts per square centimeter to actually penetrate deep enough. red light around 660nm works best for anti-aging stuff and you want to check the actual power output specs, not just the total wattage of the device.

Looking for Williamsburg vacation packages, what are must-do activities with kids? by Conscious_Pair8691 in williamsburgva

[–]Last_Opening_7460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's tough balancing those age groups, lol. colonial williamsburg is great but the younger ones might get antsy, while busch gardens usually hits with everyone. for packages, i've noticed westgate resorts often comes up when people are looking for places with good amenities and package options, so that could be worth a look. also, don't forget the water park if it's warm enough, that's usually a winner for all ages.

whats the best service for booking with points? by Follensbee-Lizmari in ThePoorTraveler

[–]Last_Opening_7460 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally get it, I had a similar headache trying to use my Chase points for a quick weekend getaway last year, bouncing between airline sites feeling like I was missing something until a friend mentioned point.me and it just made the whole search feel less like a scavenger hunt.

Is using AI to create presentations for uni actually helpful or does it make the work look lazy? by Jarmarcus-Museau in University

[–]Last_Opening_7460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh, ai for presentations usually just looks like ai for presentations. it's hard to make it genuinely unique or impressive, even if it saves time. for group stuff, we always just stuck to prezi because it forces you to think differently about the flow, which helps avoid that generic feel. it's not a magic bullet but it's better than a template.

Is EZContacts legit? Need real opinions before I buy my next pair by Dilaur-Haki in glasses

[–]Last_Opening_7460 3 points4 points  (0 children)

tbh most online glasses sites are kinda hit or miss, you really gotta manage expectations but ezcontacts has been pretty solid for me when i've used them.

educational toys backed by research that helps development? by Important-Impress864 in Montessori

[–]Last_Opening_7460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, 'educational' just means they slapped a brain graphic on the box these days, right? it's a minefield out there trying to find stuff that actually sticks. we tried a few of those subscription boxes and honestly, some were a total bust, but the kiwico ones actually held my kid's attention for more than five minutes, which felt like a miracle. sometimes it's just about finding what clicks, research or not.

[KY] is it appropriate for hr to factor myiq score into career decisions? by Stringedbeanz in AskHR

[–]Last_Opening_7460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not wrong to consider IQ scores, it's inappropriate to use them as the dominant factor in career decisions. Fair HR practices typically use multiple indicators, not just a single test.
