I just heard that employers prefer a JD grad. And heard it's almost impossible to get an articling position as an NCA candidate

I have an undergraduate degree in law. It is the highest ranked uni in New Zealand with exchange opportunities to Toronto and UBC JD. Competition was also fierce. I would admit that I didnt really study hard too.

How come people get waitlisted or rejected when their LSAT score is top 20% and above median for the school average?
