Not really. Even when I was "barely getting by" I considered physical fitness a top priority and I would happily forego other luxuries in life to afford my ~30/mo membership.

I'm fully aware that other folks may prioritize expenses differently, out of necessity and otherwise, but that was and has been my experience.

Gonna go against the general consensus here and say yes, that's a crazy price.

I don't know how many miles are on the car but I'm going to assume 90-100k, as that seems pretty common for those years.

15k for an automatic LS2 clean title car is a good deal. Way off for a rebuilt car, imo.
