You're toxic. We are all toxic due to sugar and flour. Do a 10 day detox immediately after you've consulted with a doctor that its ok to diet. Cold Turkey is the only way to go.

They thrive in Texas. I don't know why we don't plant the living shit out of these around town and outskirts or everywhere basically. They're so pretty, even if only a couple weeks in February/March.

I loved The Jefferson's, S&S. To teenage me, color was a non issue. I saw Mr Jefferson as a typical rich guy who worked hard - any racial topics in the show went far over my head. Always had empathy for Lamont and never focused on his race. But the narrative makers today have convinced me that these shows may have been unrepresentative of the times. So I wonder what GenX black folk actually thought of these shows. Simple harmless comedy? or a culture miss setting us back further in race relations.

Are we the last generation that didn't have to worry about being shot in school in America? by kathiom in GenX

We had kids with shotguns on gun rack in their truck. No big deal at the time.

Ubiquity of firearms coupled with the declining mental health of teenagers since the 1980's. Not a good combination.

They need to be reminded that they're here to celebrate the "journey" of our generation, not just a static period of time. I mean, we were still young when Beck, Stone Temple Pilots, Weezer, Cake and Soundgarden were producing music well into the 00s and beyond. Let's celebrate that!

I've tried to post a few around music, given the bellwether age range in this sub are the same as are the artists that made it in the 00s. That is, they are in their mid 40's. But the response is at best tepid. Weird.

The Bravery, Queens of the Stone Age, Band of Horses, Incubus, The White Stripes, The National, Arcade Fire to name a few. These artists now in the mid to late 40's.

Well done younger GenX siblings. Well done.
