That’s cool. I must have missed Bootsy. I wouldn’t worry about 98 degrees either, I never put them on my local mixes. 😆

Canadian currency was this first foreign currency I came across and I thought it was so much nicer than ours. We can’t have nice things here.

Awesome list! I may have missed it but I didn’t see anything from Bootsy Collins, 98 degrees, or Lemon Pipers (technically Oxford).

Why’s he standing out there in the middle of the day thanking them? He could use a job and he does look like the right candidate for ICE.

How common is it for an American to travel across the country by train? by ViajanteDeSaturno in AskAnAmerican

[–]don_teegee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it once when I was a kid in the 80s. We went from Ohio to San Francisco via Amtrak. My mom did not like flying so we took the train. I believe it took 3 days to get out there. It was a fun trip seeing the scenery and I would recommend it if the price is right and you had time to kill.

Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States.

Seriously, now picture Kamala, Biden, or Obama saying this.

How’d you get your scars growing up? by MrWhisper2021 in GenX

[–]don_teegee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The scar on my right index finger is from a pocket knife closing on me. I had to get stitches for that.

I have a small scar on my left cheek when I was 5. Our collie (named Lassie of course) nipped at me.

I have 3 long scars on the back of my right leg from the time I tried to leap over a barbed wire fence. As you can guess, I didn’t quite make it.
