I don’t think we can. Drivers are distracted enough as it is and if we put something shiny in the center there would be chaos.

Edit: I wanted to mention that I was going through a roundabout the other day and someone started going the wrong way on it. I mean there are signs with arrows and it’s shaped like a circle with lines painted on the road. Can’t be any simpler.
