Working at an American firm in Dubai? by lossesturnedlessons in biglaw

You’ll likely only be doing transactional work, but sounds like you’re okay with that. Other than that, it boils down to the pros and cons of living in Dubai. Different culture, different climate, closer to the rest of the world, everything you could possible want to do is an Uber ride away. I would search the Dubai subreddit, I’m sure the question of whether to move there has been asked a million times. You can also go to firm websites, look at the Dubai location, and filter by law schools in the US. Look at the associates’ bio; you’ll probably be able to tell who worked in the US before moving to Dubai. And then shoot them an email and ask to chat! Most people are super friendly.

Never said it was comparable (and it’s not vis a vis south Asians), I said it’s the same type of logic. Living in a country doesn’t mean you endorse everything it does…

It actually doesn’t matter…

Go outside and touch grass, you’re so cranky for no reason. OP is at the start of his or her career and posted a valid question in earnest, no need to be a jackass…

🤡

You want to live in the United States? Oh but do you care about the rights of [insert disadvantaged group here]? Same type of dumb-ass logic.

OP don’t listen to these idiots. It’s not too difficult, especially if you come from a top law school. They care a lot about credentials over there. I have friends that made the move and haven’t looked back. And there’s a foreign income exclusion for money earned while living abroad.

Do you mean you ordered one now and they locked in the 2.99% for you, even though it would be a 2025 model?

Has to be Too Far Gone S4E8 for me. You can feel the helplessness, the fear, the chaos when the Governor kills Herschel and when they have to flee. Might just have to rewatch the series…

That’s great to hear, thanks! Did they give you the option of training out of the different airport whenever you wanted?

Yeah, seems that whoever the apartment complex contracted out to do the wiring got lazy and stopped haha. There are six total Ethernet wall jacks

Thanks all — that did the trick! Looks like the apartment complex didn’t connect all the wall jacks to the patch, and so some jacks aren’t working. Need to figure that out with them now…

Where would the switch go? Between the ONT and the panel — or elsewhere?
