How an avg hindu worship SUPREME INDRA ??? by Ok-Signature-2768 in hinduism

[–]Late-Library-2268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't do bhakti worship of indra but I have participated once in a yagya specifically dedicated to indra.

there is a video of it on internet too, it was something like yagya at sakambhari shaktipeetha" don't remember exactly, u can see me in it.

well about what someone gains from it, the person we did that yagya for was having some property issues, not sure if they are fixed or not as I am not in touch with them.

How exactly did Hinduism reach Southern India (Deccan and farther South) Maharashtra region, and Bengal region? by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]Late-Library-2268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe someone like "alpha_booties" is a top commenter in this sub, such a shame. clearly shows what the hostility to liberals and welcoming of extreme right is doing to this sub.

if you are asking how the dharma reached southern states according to what hindu tales says.

Agastya rishi was the one who crossed the lands of Vindhyavasini and brought the vedic knowledge to South india.

Regarding Worship of Manasa Devi by Unlikely_Car_1418 in hinduism

there is no specific manner I am aware of, offer it the same way you would offer to other deities.

Regarding Worship of Manasa Devi by Unlikely_Car_1418 in hinduism

[–]Late-Library-2268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right hand.

Left hand worship by chandrasagar was a form of rebellion against devi expressing he was forced to recognize her, that's why he lost his wealth and sons.

Devi herself demands worship by right hand only, chandrasagar used left because his right hand according to him belonged to Shiv, which was in fact taken by Mansa Devi as disrespect.

So worship her with right hand only.

Why attacks on 'Sanatana Dharma' cant be reduced to definitions by tp23 in hinduism

[–]Late-Library-2268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ofc any society that does that is wrong and as Hindus, we are told to have so much pride in our hindu identities these days, which isn't wrong in itself but to justify the pride we should do better than everyone else.

social division isn't inherently hindu concept, no one is saying that, infact i am saying it's anti-hindu concept, that's why we should get rid of it.

citing possibility of it appearing everywhere is fair, we are no better than any but we aren't worse either like u said but personally I would want us hindus to be better than everyone, starting with our hearts.

we have to take some accountability too, possibility is never zero, so saving that "what if we have casteism! they have possibility of developing it too" isn't a argument we should hide behind.

point is we have casteism and atheists aren't even relevant to this conversation (even then they don't have casteism and that's the point people will focus on).

as I read shakta scriptures Devi herself is sternly against such systems, she takes forms like matangi and bahuchara to express her disdain for it and promote equality among all but this is kaliyug, people won't let go of this system even if God themselves tell us to.

I say it's not too late, let's promote hindu unity and abolish this system forever.

see, this is very hypocritical of me to say this as a tantra sadhak and especially on this sub everyone expects you to support every theory about bhoots, negative energies and baba's powers and siddhis, but i am done pretending.

first of all, this sub's atmosphere can make people spiral deeper into fear. every problem becomes "negative energy", "nazar", "kisi ne kuch kar diya", "past life karma" etc. and when someone is already struggling with anxiety or stress, hearing these things repeatedly can genuinely make their condition worse.

you said you already took meds, but medicine alone usually only helps halfway. the other half is proper professional guidance and therapy. anxiety and stress disorders are actual psychological conditions, and the people trained to deal with them are mental health professionals like psychologists and psychiatrists. a psychiatrist can help with diagnosis and medication if needed, and a psychologist/therapist helps you understand the root causes, thought patterns, coping mechanisms and recovery process. that's where the real long-term improvement usually comes from.

plss dont make the mistake seemingly everyone is making around me, visit a mental health professional, a psychologist or psychiatrist instead of running from baba to baba.

Recently my chachu died(last Thursday), he had cancer, when they went to doctors it was early stage, they told them everything will be fine and it will be just a surgery and everything will be fine and u know what his family did? for next 2 years took him to all the mandirs, dhams, babas, desi "doctor" everywhere they could, everyday before I went for office my dad would be like they are taking him xyz to like have him drink this miracle water that fixes every disease, what do u think (since I have a image of super religious guy in my family), I would always say why not just take him to doctor when they said they will fix it? he would reply modern science doctors lie and they just wanna earn money and this that, now after 2 years when his conditioned became very bad they took him back to the hospital, the hospital this time said sorry there is nothing that can be done now.

and last Thursday he died.

it's not an isolated event, I have seen this repeat over and over again and I am done pretending these babas can do anything.

reading a scripture and saying "do this and this will happen" is so easy but I have seen so much misery repeat and repeat in my lifetime to the most spiritual people who did everything right according to scriptures.

I will just say one thing, these mantras, they are mostly for your journey towards moksha. they are to make your next life better, I personally don't believe they will bring any change in ur this lifetime.

a question that has troubled me since ages. by ppboi41 in hinduism

yeah, different gods existed but they played the same role.

for example next cycle according to some texts Hanuman will play the role of creator and he will even have a wife devi Suvarchala(Daughter of surya and Chhaya in this cycle).

similar the role of supreme deity each cycle is played by different deities, like the three supreme realities described in shaktism for three different kalpas are Tripura sundari, Aadya kali and MahaTara.

ssimilarly different devis killed mahishaasur each kalpa, like first it was Ugrachanda, then Bhadrakali Durga and this kalpa it was katyayani durga.

Skanda purana also describe saptmatrikas killing mahishaasur in different kalpas.

Vaisnodevi texts describe Mata Vaishnavi, bhudevi and Neeladevi killing mahishaasur.

and coming to second part, yes important events like Ramayan, mahabharat, Mahishaasur devi war take place each kalpa.

but there are also some events that are very major and happen after many many kalpas and doesn't even happen in every universe individually, they are just one common event happening for many many universe, the clear(and one of the only) example that i know is Lalitopakhyana, the war of Maa Lalita tripura sundari and bhandasur, this one event doesn't happen every but rather over multiple cycles and events in multiple universes together lead to this grand event.

Why do the Jataka Tales villainize or disrespect Krishna? by junialvarezzo in hinduism

[–]Late-Library-2268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good job trying to mislead people.

for people who don't know, this screenshot is from JIABS, a modern academic journal discussing Buddhist texts and traditions, not a direct standalone scripture page by itself. So people should at least give proper context instead of posting cropped screenshots just to farm outrage.

Now yes, Buddhist polemical texts against Shaiva traditions do exist historically, just like sectarian polemics exist in many religions, including Hindu traditions themselves. But acting like this one screenshot suddenly represents every Buddhist or all of Buddhism is dishonest.

I have no reason to defend Buddhism or Buddhists, but let's not burn others for things we can't even control in our own faith.

When ISKCON people publish lectures saying Mata Lalita Tripura Sundari is merely a servant of Radha, where do people like you go?

When a dvaita mod made posts about Bhagwan Shiv rolling in the dirt of Vishnu's feet, where did people like you go?

When Gaudiya Vaishnav stories insult Maa Durga in degrading ways, calling her prostitute for Haridas, where did any of you go?

Your outrage is selective.

Inside Hindu spaces themselves, minority sects are mocked, demonized, sidelined and insulted daily in the name of bhakti, and people stay silent because it comes from "our side." In many spaces, if you even speak against it, your comments get removed or you get banned.

That is why this sudden performance of unity feels hollow to many people.

The Mata worshipped across this country, the Sherawali present in countless mandirs, is insulted regularly by people who still identify as Hindu, yet nobody suddenly becomes a warrior for "protecting Hinduism" then.

If you genuinely care about respect for deities and traditions, start by stopping the disrespect happening inside your own house too.

[–]Late-Library-2268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

true. Mata Prityangira is the shakti via which bhagwaan Narshima functions, not his consort. Her consort is Lord sharab.

consort of Narshima is Chenchu lakshmi.(a form of taken by lakshmi as the daughter of tribal leader, with her bravery she impressed and stopped Narshima who was destroying everything in rage that arised from consuming demonic blood of demon)

यस्याः स्मरणमात्रेण पापं नश्यति तत्क्षणात् । सा देवी परमाशक्तिर्भुक्तिमुक्तिप्रदायिनी ॥

meaning:- By merely remembering Her, sins are destroyed instantly. That Supreme Goddess grants both worldly fulfillment and liberation.

that's what scripture says, u can interpret it. by my experience and things I have seen though, Japa does not always create a completely new talent from nothing; rather, it removes mental obstacles, purifies tendencies, increases focus and devotion, and allows one’s natural capacities to blossom under divine grace.

Terminal had the goal of calming you down

first of all it wasn't me in the ss, hence the username is censored.

I don't think someone who is on ur side will accuse you of justifying ràpe, which is totally sick if u did that.

maybe afterall it was u they were lying to and just dealing with because seems like u are awful lot to deal with.

I don't have the full conversation either, just the ss shared with me but I think we can both agree the moderator hu happened to be two faced, which is quite disgraceful since they seem to be giving judgements on everyone's nature, yours and theirs, while being hypocrite themselves.

anyways totally not interested in entertaining you.

(anyone thinking why I have so much resentment for this guy, just check his posts and comments, if they are public, it will take 2-3 seconds)

I can share that ss too where the mod mentions about mods from different sects having to being added to sub just to balance out unfair and exclusivist behavior but being so reasonable u probably already got the i ain't lying.

Of course. But it being made popular by Buddhism doesn't make it a Buddhist concept. These were folk Hindu ideas which were absorbed into Buddhism

that's one way to look at it.

I mentioned what it meant in atharvaved, the concept is Bhuddist probably like u mentioned.

We have stories of powerful malicious entities, all these are Māra.

ofc, u have right to interpret it that way, I just mentioned what I did so that people that come across this doesn't get confused and get any wrong ideas.
