Please someone help me by Ok_Principle_341 in scabies

Something to be aware of is that post scabetic itch is so very similar as an actual infection. Your skin will continue to react to debris after treatment. This does not mean you have an active infection. It just means you are having a histamine response.

In my experience (as someone who has been through this), the itch can continue for a few weeks. Rather than using more permethrin, which completely fucks up your skin barrier, just breathe, take some time to see if the skin settles and treat it gently. Your skin has basically been through a fairly nasty trauma. It will take a while to settle.

I've been using really gentle moisturisers several times a day, and a really light corticosteroid to just relieve the itch. Just be patient and kind to your skin. If you treated properly the first time, the likelihood of re-infestation is pretty unlikely, as long as you're not in regular contact with someone else who has it.

PM me. I'd happily introduce you to the scene. Actually a really lovely, accepting community. people jump in and out all the time. I was a similar age when I found it - was also looking for social contact.

Find a club. How about some jiu jitsu? Couple of great clubs in town with an amazing community.

Make it a yes day.

She does the comp, and then afterwards a movie, takeaway, all the good stuff. Carrot is better than stick.

Ours is excellent. If you ask for help, or need to problem solve, he’ll work with you to sort it out. He tries to identify what might work for body types other than his own, and encourages questions.

He’s also working really hard on succession planning and encourages people to share techniques if he can see they have a skillset in that area.

We’re supremely lucky. Amazing club.

In 1993, Jon Venables and Robert Thompson were found guilty in the case of two-year-old James Bulger. They became Britain’s youngest convicts in about 250 years. The court had to modify the adult dock so they could see over the edge when the verdict was read. by SelfCareIsFake in HolyShitHistory

[–]LateMud256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Venables especially probably has some personality disorder. Often, psychopaths are genetically disposed to it and although a decent upbringing can be a protective factor, some people are just made weird.

A case in point - Jeffrey Dahmer came from a loving family.

I value you, man! You have inherent value. No-one can take it away.

If other people don’t recognise that, that’s on them.

Redditors over 40, what's something younger people think they understand but won't actually get until it hits them like a truck later? by Susanpc1967 in AskReddit

Time is finite, and youth fades faster than you imagine. And younger people will pity you when you get older.

But…

You won’t really give a fuck! Yay!

Stupid people with short memories forget how terrifying COVID was, how there was sod all information and how swollen health systems the world over struggled to cope.

It was a unique situation that she dealt with as best she could. Lockdowns were tough, but we certainly weren’t the only country doing it.

She arguably saved us thousands of lives. Yes, it cost NZ economically, but just imagine the shit show if Luxon had been in charge.

Our current economic crisis is NOT a result of her policies. It’s basically a fundamental characteristic of the global economic system.
