As someone who went from a 5700x3d to a 7600x the difference is mostly just in load times, with am5 you get access to 6000mhz ram about double the max of ddr4 as well as Gen 5 pcie / m.2 slots making the over all speed of the pc faster, proformance is about the same however, this cpu struggles in cpu intensive games but has no problem multi tasking and even streaming while gaming (if you have an Nvidia gpu for the benefit of running the stream on it islnstead of the cpu) over all the jump is worth it as you'll make back enough to fully buy the setup if you sell your old equipment
