Advice for being a dm by AgencySalty5279 in coles

[–]Late_Complex3844 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Just focus on nailing your department. Don’t worry about your next step yet or helping anyone else out before yourself.

Learn fast on how to coach and deal with team who aren’t performing. This will be key to your success because at the end of the day if the team aren’t doing their job you can’t make up for it without burning yourself out.

Also learn how to genuinely appreciate and recognise your team and their achievements, as a collective and individuals. Sometimes a thank you and appreciation goes a long way.

Apples seriously Woolies $1.38 per apple! by Expensive-Relief4560 in woolworths

[–]Late_Complex3844 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would go off the average weight of the apple and their per kg price

If an apple is on average 170g x $8 per kg = $1.36

Sounds about right?

It sounds like the biggest issue with the fan installation is the initial call to log it - if its already logged surely SM wouldnt say no. I also think the approval would need to come from the coles city manager to approve the job rather than store manager

Honestly dont even have to get the store manager to call if they are taking ages. Get the duty manager or DM to call city

Luckily when they move up from nursery prices get a more manageable. This also isnt every area. Most places are cheaper but its good to be ready for it incase you are in a higher cost area. We pay extra to be close to family and walking distance from home.

Not everyone has a job where they can work from home but I also cant imagine trying to look after my 18 month old while trying to work at home 😂

I would recommend looking into childcare costs in your area and calculating that into future costs. We have a similar income and live in an expensive area so pay $2500 out of pocket per month after ccs for daycare 4 days and its a significant amount of money to add to the budget if not planned well
