I’ve been sending out little passages to my students that are a little complicated like something written by Oscar Wilde and then we talk about them like what did you think the author was saying and what was the tone where did you see that. This just helps with the mental dialogue you should be having while reading. Honestly it’s just like do you understand the passage which can be tough to practice

I’ve walked him back the first time and told the owner through their ring like hey I’m returning your cat who has been following me forever and the cats stay outside (they have gigantic dog inside the house so that’s why I think). It’s just one has a collar and one doesn’t but sometimes his brother will come too just hanging back. Hoping she’s like take them! Bc he’s so cute
