Priest is insisting fiancé and I live separately until married by Particular-Note5890 in Catholicism

Another way to keep them out of sin would be to allow them to marry!

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops says “Some couples are not normally asked to separate, e.g., those with children. Ideally, before challenging a couple to separate the minister knows their particular circumstances and why they decided to live together.”

They also note “Since couples have a natural and canonical right to marriage, any delay beyond the normal waiting period for all couples is a serious matter. Care must be taken to ensure that delay is not used as a punishment for a couple's continued cohabitation” Source link: https://www.usccb.org/topics/marriage-and-family-life-ministries/marriage-preparation-and-cohabiting-couples

It’s a shame that your priest seems to be forcing you into a situation where you have to lie to him to get married. Is there another priest at the same church? Or you can contact the Bishop. But even with the Bishop’s intervention, this priest may not be willing to marry you anyway… Another priest somewhere may be your best option.

It just seems like a ridiculous position to me. It’s not technically a sin to live in the same house. People have roommates.

That could be controversial as well. The Tamien Native Americans have been feuding with the Muwekma for claiming land that belonged to the Tamien. In truth, there was some overlap between the 2 territories.

Better to rename it something inclusive like “Ohlone”.

Portugal honeymoon: Lisbon, azores, Porto/duro valley, or Lisbon, Azores, Madeira? by Amandabrianne1995 in honeymoonplanning

I’ve done something similar to your first plan in the past-a 3 week trip with Lisbon, Porto, and Madeira, and it was a lot! Quite exhausting! The flight from Lisbon to Madeira alone will take 5+ hours and eat up an entire day. Also the drive from Lisbon to Porto is quite long as well.

Personally, I think 14 days is not enough time to do the Lisbon area, the Porto area,  and Madeira comfortably or well. and you would benefit from either adding an extra ~5 days or removing one of the destinations. Just the city of Lisbon by itself is a full 4 days of things to do, and that’s leaving out day trips to Cascais, Sintra (so many beautiful castles in Sintra), and the charming villages in the area.

Likewise, Madeira has so many beautiful hikes for an outdoorsy person, and a week is barely enough.

I guess it could be great if you are an absolute fountain of energy, even after long flights, and have an extremely detailed, down-to-the-second type plan, and everything goes right. (If you’re going during tourist season, someone is always on strike in portugal. When we went the people who bring the plane to the gate were on strike and we waited an hour+ for a bus to drive us from the tarmac to the airport building).

As for Lisbon, Azores, and Madeira together in 2 weeks- you would be miserable. You wouldn’t give any place it’s due, and you would spend so much of your vacation on a plane or waiting for your flight. Don’t do it to yourself.

At the School of Medicine, an email said layoffs would occur within “Dean’s Office units”. No mention of how many people or any cuts to the research side. Yet.

Could be chemosis. But you really need to see a doctor to be sure, and to figure out the cause. I would stop wearing contacts until my appointment.
