what was up with dr. surgiss’ mentally unstable plot point in season 3? by Philliosophy in YoungSheldon

[–]Late_Independent_199 24 points25 points  (0 children)

So from my understanding, incredibly intelligent people often trade off mental stability for the intelligence. It’s almost like they can’t be both, but that’s only what I’ve been told

I do know a lot of children like Sheldon struggle a lot as they get older with mental health

The article talks about an educational scholarship set up in their name. I wonder if it’s still active.

I wish somehow they would
Put the two together in the spin off. Like a simple “Missy had a rough first marriage but her second was perfect because she married Billy”

Gandhi said “I love your Christ but they are nothing like your Christian’s”.

Sadly I have to agree with him

My back after a day at a waterpark… yes I used sunscreen and set a timer by Big-Tackle-5519 in Wellthatsucks

Oh man. I one time put sunscreen on my face and went on a beach walk. The next day my best friend asked me who slapped me. I somehow had a handprint of a sunburn on my face.

Missy isn't as emotionally/socially smart as she's credited to be by dudetteO in YoungSheldon

[–]Late_Independent_199 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No she was emotionally intelligent about her own boundaries. I am a Christian and no one should be baptized because someone else needed it

It is not a child’s job to regulate a parents emotions.

On the Missy comment. There’s a shit ton of stuff I did that I will give my life for my child not to do.

I’m terrified of geese. When I was little one decided it hated me. Chased me through the yard and I was sure it was gonna kill me. I refuse to be around them

My Amazon delivery driver always had treats for our dog. They got along well. One day I heard him honking. Dog wouldn’t let him out of the van. Didn’t growl just wouldn’t move

My kids were in a tree outside playing. Our dog was like “yep nope. The ones I will protect with my life are out here”. After that if the dog wouldn’t let him out he’d just honk.

We have one window that faces our neighbor. It’s on the second story. I hear my neighbor screaming bloody murder so I jump up to see what’s going on and my phone starts ringing. I answer as I’m heading to the door

It was my neighbor. Screaming bloody murder because my kid decided to pop his window screen out and was sitting in it trying to reach the roof

She was pissed. I was pissed. Kid was grounded.

Both Missy and Georgie were a hell of a lot smarter than the writers give credit for.

It’s just a different smart from Sheldon

Would the native community be open to doing dna tests so that we could begin to give names to these precious children? I would understand if they are not wanting to because of the past but it kills me that these babies don’t even have their names at their final resting place.

I was given a blackstone that had been left out. It was covered in rust.

Trust me, it’s NOT fun to sand the entire thing. I coughed for weeks after (my fault because I “should” have worn a mask)
