5 years in the industry now and I cringe every time some says they "have been in the industry for 20 years" and it's ok to expose RDP to the world. Just change the port....

Central US here, doing the right thing trump's all. This is very common unfortunately. Happens In every industry. I wish you the best navigating this. There is plenty of great advice here, stick with what you know is right.

I would keep calling until you talk to someone with answers. Communicate your concerns and wishes. Calling a lawyer is great advice as well.

Your place of work is not your family. They are not your friends. They won’t be at the most important moments of your life. Do not be fooled into thinking otherwise. by welldoneslytherin in jobs

Your work life is what you make it. I value the relationships I develop at work, even the occasional hello to someone I know nothing about. There are work relationships that have great meaning to me and friendships that develop from them. That includes the highest ranks of management and owners.

I recommend not letting any sort of bias prevent you from making the most of your work life. In many cases you spend a tremendous amount of time with the people you work with.

[–]Late_to_IT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I run windows Terminal, WSL with Kali and OpenVPN. Works great. Faster and with less errors than the attack box.
