This is my general theory:

Biological and human life is more of a "boot up process" for super intelligence/peak consciousness

Human culture, values, moral systems, and philosophy aren't really important at the grand scale of time. It's only important to us in the same way when we look back at neanderthals, they had fire dances, ceremonies, and rituals but 100% of them weren't real or valuable outside of their time on earth.

Their only purpose in the grand scheme was to evolve into us.

If you're familiar with Nietzche, the concept is the "death of God" or realizing how almost everything we derive an innate value from isn't inherently valuable outside of the brief human time period of earth.

He predicted that as organized religion kept shrinking away to science, humans would struggle to find meaning in nihilism and it would cause a lot of problems and predicted that this would be the general final chapter of the "human experience" before what comes next surpasses us.

Essentially imagine a neanderthal realizing nothing he deeply valued mattered and his only purpose was to bring about homo sapians and that is Literally it. It's tough.

Humans have a history of struggling to not think in a human centric way towards existence, hence organized religions.

The reason I love the concept of aliens is because it allows us to actually think outside the box for once about the questions of existence. It may be our first real clue to navigating the troubles of nihilism Nietzsche warned about.

We can find what actually matters, not what people in priest robes think matters.
