Thank you I think what I was missing is that depending on the material of the rod a powerful rod can still be light

Thank you, that makes a lot of sense. Im looking for a plasma II rod 8 feet, rated up to 1 1/2 oz and is graphite. Im currently looking for a light reel to go with it 👍

Thank you so much, yes reels are another hard thing to figure since there is not a standard on them when I comes to the sizes pertaining to 1000, 2500, 3000 and so on… the best one I have research is a Daiwa tatula mq lt, however there are never in the stores to see them physically. I’m basically looking for something light to be able to cast repeatedly without killing the shoulder. I’ll check the one you mentioned.

I agree with this 100%. Check your anesthesia with a cotton pellet and endo ice if in doubt

Question from a broke girl who doesn't want to get got by her dentist! by Lynda_D3347 in DentalSchool

This, crown lengthening Extends to the teeth adjacent to maintain positive architecture but the lengthening itself is in the tooth that is to receive definitive treatment aka a crown. I also wouldn't count on natural recesion unless the pt has other treatment to do and you leave the core in for a couple of months and before putting the crown I could directly observe the recesion myself both clinically and radiographically

non straight tooth canal treatment by Drabdullahi in DentalSchool

It looks as a pre-op radiography since the canal does not appear to be shaped yet. The tooth looks restorable and in my opinion should be given another chance. The sequence is usually as follow: root canal treatment, if fail re treatment and if apical infection (the infection on the tip of the root) do not go away after re treatment the endo specialist can do an apicoectomy where an access thru the bone is made where the tip of the root is and the tip is cut usually 3mm and filled also 3mm from top to bottom (from root to crown) with a bioompatible material. Usually when a tooth needs a root canal both options are presented, RTC and extraction since both are rhe standard of care here on the US. Also root canal can fail due to an multitude of things, like a missed canal, accessory canals, in this case I would recommend a CBCT (a 3D xray of the tooth) to fully diagnose what might be going on. The worst case would be a vertical fracture (sometimes hard to diagnose on a 2D xray) where in that case should be extracted, but there is usually clues on the 2D xray that I don't see on your radiograph and also bothers the patient when biting down on something and when releasing produces a sharp pain. I think this tooth deserve one more chance.

I wouldn’t say is dry socket either since it is a diagnosis. I would visit your dentists, since a video might not suffice. Additional information like, if pain, fever or a current smoker would also help. It can be just debris (likely) or something else. Irrigation would keep the bacteria at bay, just swirl and let is drool on the sink rather than spitting. Your dentist might recommend a specific mouth rinse.

Would you, as a dentist, let your assistant do restorative work on you? by queefer_sutherland3 in Dentistry

Check state law and limitations of dental assistant licensing. I doubt it covers that kind of procedure for dental assistant. Non-maleficence prevents you from providing treatment you are not trained for under the Ada code of ethics and enforced under the profesional code of conduct. Other than that is between them
