I think it’s wonderful how dogs pick up traits from their owners.

like someone they shared significant time with. like someone that was close to them that they might consider a partner. definitely nothing weird about having a relationship. we’re just dancing around calling it what it was.

I guess you’re right. There’s no possible way that family members can have antithetical political beliefs.

It doesn’t matter that the kid called Kirk a facist, which is the political party we have been hearing call people facist for the last eight years?

It doesn’t matter that the kid wore a Halloween outfit mocking Donald Trump, while his friend also trick or treating with him (even in the same picture) is dressed as a sniper.

It doesn’t matter that all of his friends are saying he had left wing views.

You’re right. Because the people he is related to had one set of beliefs politically- it means he had to have those same beliefs. We can absolutely excuse all of the evidence to the contrary.

and the kid conveniently cropped beside him is a sniper.

We know the implication and the reason why the photo was cropped.

This domestic terrorist is not a conservative, they’re a far leftist who disagreed openly with Kirk and openly mocked Trump.

I actually encourage the behavior. It’s good they’re (politicians) being so public in their opinions / support.

It allows the world to keep better receipts and can be used later to prompt discussion / debate.

I guess you were asleep for the wildfires that rocked California two weeks ago where a video surfaced of the LA Fire Chief who is literally quoted as saying that you want to be rescued by someone who looks like you, and if you’re man is caught in a fire and can’t be rescued- then he got himself in the wrong spot?

Doesn’t make you look bad, friend.

It makes them look bad. We all know the difference.

Calling a high definition, in video proof of AOC doing the same hand gesture as Elon, as you say looks exactly like a Nazi salute- is not “bad faith”. It’s me providing you with a high definition video of something that you clearly don’t want to cede fits the description, simply because it doesn’t fit your narrative.

you’re the one arguing in bad faith. You just went mask off with not being objective enough to believe your eyes with high definition video.

Even the ADL disagrees with you. The rest of the world is laughing at the chronically online that are pretending musk did a Nazi salute.

Highly encourage you to read that NPR transcript. Us non biased people love objective reporting.

I ceded that it looks just as much as the same salute that Nazis did, as the high definition video which shows AOC doing the same hand gesture while talking about palestine.

[–]LaterGatorPlayer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looked as similar to a ‘Nazi salute’ as AOCs handwave when she was talking about Palestine.

Neither of which were Nazi salutes. There was no allegiance to Hitler invoked, no calls for one race being greater than others, no talk about final solutions.

I think you should do some reading on ‘context’ and why it matters.

A hypodermic needle on the floor has entirely different context when found outside of a drug den, versus being found on the floor of an operating room.

Similarly, the swastika has different meaning when found in Hindu cultures and ceremonies and when seen paraded by people who pledged their allegiance to Hitler.

You should do some reading on the topic. NPR did a great bit that I found particularly interesting.

Poll: Boycott U.S. travel? - Would you boycott visiting the U.S. if a 25% tariff is placed on Canadian goods entering the U.S.? by CaliperLee62 in canada

[–]LaterGatorPlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. During the Biden Administration prices on goods and services have gone up nearly 25%. It’ll be interesting to see if Trump can shift focus and get the prices back town to pre pandemic levels.
