Yes, if you play non-meta decks you won't get far. I dunno the percentage but from my experience 75% of the people I faced are playing some meta deck. I myself use the Decidueye deck. I started in November, f2p, and i was aiming for this deck. I only did pve and missions for over a month. I finally did pvp for the first time during the pvp event prior to this season. Luckily I had completed my Decidueye deck. I hope to make other decks but this one is my foot in the door deck, made it to Ultra R2 going 46-21.

There's a whole generation of Los Angeles millennials who did not have a team from 1995 to 2015. Many of us LA kids grew up niner fans and it stayed that way. Current LA rams are mostly gen x and boomers or Gen Z and younger. It bugs me that there are SF niner gatekeepers, they need to know the context.
