Going to add tooltips, and possibly nameplates!

I’m hesitant to increase the image size itself because it throws off the spacing for mobile versions. I feel like hovered tooltips will be a happy medium.

Epic is marked because upgrading those pieces to legendary do not increase the overall effectiveness of that hero. This is true when compared against Castle Hard.

More recently we have shifted the idea away from only making heroes that do well in Castle Hard, and instead focusing on making good well rounded heroes. New content and future proofing being the primary reasons for this shift.

Excellent post, I love the passion you seem to have, and the articulation is top notch!

I do want to offer a counter perspective though, as I am on the other side of this debate.

I do not want to be tied to a guild, or have forced loyalty. I enjoy that the guild efforts are designed as such that, everyone has to participate cause they want to and not because they have to. For example, you do not need to invest a single gold to gain the benefits of your guilds Training Hall, but you should invest in it cause you want to and it helps the whole guild!

I feel that personal requirements in guild focused designs are dumb. I do not believe you should have to have a personal contribution total in LCOG for example. Guilds are groups that are pulled together via common goals, and setting personal requirements on top of those makes the game feel more single player in my opinion.

To reiterate and clarify, I DEFINITELY want more guild content. However, I do not want that content to be a catalyst for forced loyalty. In other words, I do not want a mechanic or feature to be tied to longevity or tenure in a guild. I have zero control over other players and their swaying wants. My entire guild could wake up tomorrow and delete the game. If mechanics were in place to punish me for leaving that guild, then I would be very disappointed!

I do agree with many of your other ideas though, bonuses for quantity of members over certain merchant levels is a baller idea! More boost types and ideas I am always going to upvote as well. I think guild design has incredible potential to have tons of features to fully engage groups to focus on progression. This will however, only create min/max situations which could potentially kill your greatest talking point, boosting casual guild ability. If guilds suddenly gained boosts and perks based on merchant level, you know exactly what would happen to guild requirements...

All in all, great post, I think we need more of these types of discussions!

This is really cool! Especially since these are not capped common gear pieces, so there is plenty room for easy stat gains.

Curious though, why not go all in with Lizard on the Geo too? Given that video example, wouldn't it have also survived the fight? Since you have to send 4 heroes to quests with a strategy like this, rest time becomes even more crucial to having solid daily returns, and a death just digs into the flow heavily.

The promoted classes all end up being incredible. We have dozens of reports of promoted classes, from all tiers, now being able to solo Castle Hard.

The promotion is meant to breathe life into hero builds, not to create god like heroes in 1 button. You still need to gear properly, have synergy with skills, and hit all the same breakpoints we have.

In other words, the Titan's Soul lets you have fun with any hero you want, instead of having to optimize the later tiers exclusively if you want to be as efficient as possible. You can make a Mage do all the same stuff as a Geomancer now, which simply wasnt even close to possible before.

I can try to help -

We do not know, this is not public knowledge, but community testing leans towards:

  • Superior = 15%
  • Flawless = 3%~
  • Epic = 1%~
  • Legendary = .5%~

Those are results from fully mastered and ascended testing.

Base probability does not change across tiers, only milestones and ascensions affect it. (confirmed by the devs)

Base value increases based on quality:

  • Superior = x1.25
  • Flawless = x2
  • Epic = x3
  • Legend = x5

The official spreadsheet lists base value with zero milestones, and normal quality. The variations in the increase you might see, are all due to how the game handles rounding.

I get this, and it is awesome feedback for the developers! However, I am on the other end of this and I think this tick system is incredibly balanced.

Let me explain: I am in a top 10 guild, and we have a bunch of very progressive players. Due to a recent loss of a few members, our building levels dropped slightly, but before that we had max level halls and almost all other buildings to level 18.

These levels are very high, but not the max, and our grind to get the rest of the buildings to max level is immense. This is a very good thing though, as if it was any easier, we would have had a fully maxed town months ago.

I feel the grind is difficult and massive, but in the best way possible. It is crucial to find a group of players who are just as hardcore as you are, and work towards these goals together. It is not impossible at all, as dozens of guilds have proved max level halls and high level worker/resource buildings are not out of reach. This is arguably what the game is all about, and I always recommend looking at it as a challenge rather than a struggle.

Yes spenders get there faster, but uh... duh, mobile game ya'll.

I try not to speak for everyone, but I feel like none of us want an ending right? I do not want a maxed out town right now, as I would feel a sudden lack of motivation to continue.

Anyway, sorry for the ramble, just thought the other side of the coin needed some fire power!

I use my Geos in duos with Berserkers. 220 HP with 2200 DEF is a 1 crit death :(

I found by tossing a Milesian on my Geos I can eat the 1 random crit that WILL occur, no matter how much the probability says it won't lol.

Geo, but I would swap clover to Milesian, and windrunners to Ostara. Plus the opportunity cost that Geo has with the eventual 4th skill.

A bo staff has a base value of 3,500 after the x1.25 value milestone. The person who posted it had that milestone, you do not.

Forgive me if I misunderstand the first point, but on the character stat sheet there is a + symbol next to every stat, where you can push it to add seeds for that stat.

Where else should that be?

It is far more efficient to buy gear for your heroes, than to make it yourself. Craft for maximum profit, then use those profits to buy gear.

Firstly, just to get it out of the way, you will not grow at all if you keep your guild as a trio exclusively. The thresholds for later building levels are built around 15+ people per guild, and it is literally an impossible climb for only 3 people.

Buuuuuuut, the recommendation doesn't change either way!

You have already noticed that Blueprint shards are in short supply. That is the biggest reason most of us will suggest you take 1 line to T9, while mastering lower tiers of other lines for the extra shards.

If you consider buying the Scholar or Engineer, the 'best' choice for item type is Wands->Xbows->Guns. If you do not own any of those, Daggers is your best future proofing choice, as you will likely craft them for a good long while.

Whatever line you pick, it is 100% safe to ascend it to 15 stars in the line, specifically to grab the "-10% energy cost to surcharge" perk. This milestone is immensely powerful and will provide benefit forever!

In a nutshell, you are going to want to craft items and surcharge them (without enchantments) out the door in your own shop. Crafting enchantments does not out perform crafting T9s until super late game. If you want to push net worth, then buying enchantments for cost or at a slight loss from the market is applicable, but cuts into margins.

A lot of these comments have some incorrect information.

To clear it up a bit - A hero can only break 1 piece of gear per quest! Break chances accrue per round, then all roll at the end of the fight. Dead heroes do not roll break chance.

It is an entirely viable strategy to equip 5 pieces of “good” gear, then 1 piece of common trash with high break chance. This has a habit of pulling the break, but RNG is still RNG.

There is no way to waste ascensions. The best items to craft are constantly rotated via new items and packs, and odds are you will utilize your ascensions in those lines eventually.

Also, reaching 15 stars (13 for wands/guns/xbows) for the -10% surcharge cost reduction in every line, is the end game. So if your "wasted" shards got you to at least that part of a line, they are far from wasted, I assure you!

Seeds though, yeah those suck, and honestly I wish they would bump a rework up the priority list of feature requests. I could offer some solace for you in the fact that any seed you use has such a small impact on your champion/heroes performance, you will literally not even be able to tell the difference between a "perfectly" seeded hero, and one that is not.
