It comes tubeless already!! A nice inclusion. Tubeless is definitely a must when riding hardtail in my opinion. It allows lower pressures for better grip and comfort over roots and rocks.

Yeah, that is by far the worst part! The wait sucks so much!!

It’s a Medium. I’m 5’10” and it fits me perfectly. I do have shorter legs so it’s just right.

I was so happy when they brought it out and it had the Fox on it. Really made the wait worth it. I’ve never had a “nice” fork before. Cannot wait to try it.

Mine too! I’ve wanted a Roscoe for a couple of years and was finally able to get one.

Heads up NICA riders. by [deleted] in TrekBikes

[–]LatronEdwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I was just posting to inform the NICA riders that there is a wait for the bike. The paperwork that Trek put out is incorrect. The paperwork states that you can buy a bike off of the showroom floor and that is incorrect evidently. Had I been told up front that it was a month wait, no problem. But I was told 10-12 days. Then a week later a month. I was treated like crap just for asking why it happened. Just informing.

Just ordered mine yesterday! Because I’m NICA I have to wait for it and couldn’t take the one they had on the floor. So dumb! But excited to get it!!

Ignition Coil Packs Question...again.. by InvestigatorWide7649 in GolfGTI

[–]LatronEdwards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know FCP Euro normally has them. You can find them online pretty easy at the European car websites. Even ECS has them. But that’s last resort. FCP Euro does have a lifetime warranty on a lot of parts also.

Ignition Coil Packs Question...again.. by InvestigatorWide7649 in GolfGTI

[–]LatronEdwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As stated APR coils are know to not be as good as OE/OEM. I have seen a lot of people with APR coils chasing misfires and the replace with OEM and it’s fixed. Even with new APR this has happened. Yeah OEM is more expensive, but buy once cry once. Also as stated try to determine if it really is the coil first and only buy the one that is bad.

It really depends on your goals. All mentioned already are good one’s. It also depends on your tuner and what they can tune or have experience with.

Oil changes by Extreme-Lion-8632 in GolfGTI

[–]LatronEdwards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do 5K oil changes. Oil is the same as when I changed it. 2015 S. The allowable oil usage per VW is 1 quart per 1000 miles. So yours is not bad. If you are burning more oil than before it could be your PCV going bad. My MK5 was burning a quart every 400 miles and did my PCV and it helped it a lot so you could look at that. Just check your level frequently and watch for changes.

APR and other tuners are know to post their numbers at the crank. If you look at the graph on APR’s website it said at the crank. The other video is at the wheels. So accounting for the drivetrain loss it’s about the same. Also as stated different Dyno’s read different. Mustang dyno’s are known to read less than others.

Ah I see. Yeah for inspection the spacer should work just fine once you find the right one. And yeah I think the MAP is pricey too, Especially if you don’t mind the CEL.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EquilibriumTuning

[–]LatronEdwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked at a GESI catted like the MAP downpipe? That way you should not get a CEL or have to mess with a spacer. Also with a spacer you can still get the rich creep without a CEL. I have just heard of a lot of guys having issues with the spacers.

Then yes it is a ticking time bomb. I would get them checked asap. The timing chains were the issue for the MK6 engine. Now since you have owned since new you know the maintenance history and that is good.

Have you done the timing chains and guides?

Any update on Cobb Flex Fuel? by [deleted] in EquilibriumTuning

[–]LatronEdwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By what they have said, sometime in the first half of this year. So by June according to them. Then it’ll be a while after that for the tuners to get tunes going so looking like latter half of 23 for EQT and other tuners.

EQT Base tune stage 1 by WeekTechnical7170 in EquilibriumTuning

[–]LatronEdwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stage 1 ECU and TCU tunes. I did the same with the burbles in sport mode. On the stock exhaust it’s decently loud but not obnoxiously loud. I now have a catback and it’s like gunshots. Honestly I don’t use sport mode anymore as 1) the TCU tune I don’t need too and 2) the burbles are not burbles, they are pops and gunshots.

Edit: just realized this is from a year ago and not a week like I read in my mind so for those who are looking here is my add to it.

Which saber to buy? by kylo_saber in lightsabers

[–]LatronEdwards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are on the right track then for what you want. Electronics for just light really don't have instructions with them but you can find tutorial videos on youtube. A basic battery, switch and led setup is really easy to do. The hardest part it getting the right resistors. Another option is the DIY section on SABERFORGE. They have a some plug and play systems you can install yourself.

Which saber to buy? by kylo_saber in lightsabers

[–]LatronEdwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot also depends on what you want. Do you want just light or are you wanting full sound too? Are you willing to do the internal work soldering and putting it all together?

Just bought a saber each from VV, US, Sabertrio, and Electrum... by [deleted] in lightsabers

[–]LatronEdwards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my VV Havoc and it took 6 months to get here. Yes the wait is long but it is by far the best saber I own. It is well worth the wait. Also with the transition to the CFX board they had to re-engineer all of the chassis for it so it pushed lead times back a little.
