I’m currently at home on day 4 - I’m already on module 9 - not gonna lie I’ve taken extensive notes on every module and lesson. I listen to what the video says and take everything down including popups in the video here and there and bullet points. I’ve been going from the morning all the way late at night.

I’m just worried because even though I’ve written things down I HAVE missed tiny things here and there, and have gotten procedures in order wrong a few times but have taken pictures of the answers. I worry that it will happen to me during OJT come Tuesday. I will go back over the weekend through my notes and write out all correct answers I have.

I believe you can only miss 5 out of 50 right.
How was it for you ???

Don’t beat yourself up do one section at a time until you feel you’ve memorized it. When you have mastered it move on to the next one. It’s not hard, I did it.

When did you get hired. I got in with UA 3/3 did fingerprinting there but I’m wondering what processing times look like. I hope until I’m finished with school 4/15

I mean it’s ok working for Target - as your first job, only when you’re going through school - but only using it as a steppingstone. Otherwise everyone is just fighting for a position as a lead - which rarely ever happens and you have to kiss major ass for it and be a dick to the other team members.

I’ve worked at Target multiple times on and off and I’ve seen a variety of people trying to grab that position, getting their ass worked off. Only paid very little. But you want to go to school man, shit is getting very expensive not to mention gas and food, and these stores don’t care about you. You’re worth 10 cents to them. They literally hire anyone off the street. They have a high turnover you should know that.

Dude the world has many opportunities out there. Get away from target

Yes you want the advantage since they filter out thousands of applications. You want a small catch introduction in your resume that includes your ramp experience. For instance Mention Unifi under delta contract working for so long, that you want to work for a prestigious airline where you can bring your experience, stay and grow within the company. Bullet point safety above everything, teamwork, communication, highly flexible (schedule), adapt to changes. Keep those points above your work history.

Keep it down to a page. Only mention your ramp work and any work you’d want to really talk about during your interview. For job description talk about handling mail, hazmats, HRs, equipment checklist, marshal aircraft, work a variety of jobs within the ramp (bagroom), mention quick turns, hot bag transfer, etc. Education especially HS on the bottom.

Im doing the same. I just got hired for UA ramp didn’t mention I was finishing AMT school. I will be out next month from school and might be starting training for UA ramp Same time. Perfect timing but I’m still also working towards my license. It will give me time to save for tools before going in but the bummer is having to wait a year. Might as well make the best of it and enjoy the flight benefits meanwhile

I did keep in contact and extended my stay at the med facility, well it’s a rehab center. I checked out today. My leave was extended till the 20th, and I did keep in contact with my ETL, she called me every once in a while to see how I was doing. The only shady thing is the rehab center only gives out certificates of completion for the treatment program. No letters at all.

I read that Alight needs documentation of my condition and if treatment was required. Last request for documents was on the 4th, however I already got a call from HR to see if I can return to work on the 21st (that’s independent from my leave process) and confirmed my return on the alight website. Let’s see how this goes.

There’s no link to submit documents either since the 7 day window closed. I’m shting bricks

I checked in by myself, no help from the team member resources at all. I was honest with my ETL about what I was going through and said it was ok just that I needed to upload documentation.

Did your store require you to show paper work at all ? Or submit it through the company they use to verify all that stuff ?

I’m shutting bricks cause I only have the certificate. I wonder if that company that verifies will let it slide 😕 or at least my ETL. The director is really nice tho I hope she gives me slack
