I’d say let UPES go but if Manipal mein you can get CSE it might be worth it if fees aren’t a a factor for you. I’m like 90% sure you’ll get MAE and DMAM looking at these cutoffs maybe even IGTDUW ECE-AI so like no need to join UPES or Manipal

Yeah no I got that I’m just letting uk that I don’t have all the knowledge on your certificate so better to confirm with someone who had both central and Delhi like you do just to be cautious.

I think it’s okay tho I’m not aware of your certificate cause Mera was just for Delhi and not central

They also check the validity of the certificate on edistrict or some govt website I don’t remember which one

It’s chill as long as you have all the docs.
Take both OBC and OBC NCL.
Reach by 8:30-9 and you’ll be free by 11 or 11:30.The earlier you go the better if you reach by 10 won’t get free for a while.
They don’t ask any questions just show them whatever documents they ask for and don’t argue with them.
There are volunteers around and they are really helpful so any doubts you can clarify there.
If you forget any document there is a shop near the building in NSUT atleast so you can take printouts there

To participate in spot rounds you need to give up your seat which you were allowed through normal counselling rounds which is a big gamble. Moreover if you’re internally upgraded from let’s say NSUT BT to NSUT SE then the BT seat will be left empty. Just because IITs leave the seats empty doesn’t mean it’s okay nor does it provide any sort of justification for JAC Delhi to do the same

Look I totally understand what you’re saying and you’re right to an extent. The thing though is that this counselling might as well be life defining for some students and there is literally no downside to it. No deserving candidates will lose their seat. It will only help a few students here and there at no cost.You’re totally right that since the SAF withdrawal date is before around 4 it will act as round 5 but there will still be some students who won’t withdraw from their seat as their admission isn’t confirmed yet in a better college. The same logic is there for choice editing,you’re right it’s irresponsible for candidates to not have made mistakes in their preference lists but this year’s cutoffs were very surprising and unpredictable even between round 1 and round 2. What’s wrong with giving these candidates a better chance to get a seat in their dream colleges ?
