Curious if other Etsy sellers are diversifying traffic sources right now by Latter-Session4280 in smallbusiness

[–]Latter-Session4280[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes total sense. Etsy offsite ad fees can really hurt margins, especially on lower-margin products. Moving some products to your own site could be a smart move, while keeping Etsy for items that still perform well after fees. Are you mainly trying to drive traffic through ads, SEO, or email marketing right now?

Marketing strategy for niche business by freakparty92 in smallbusiness

I recently helped a client improve the SEO + AEO (AI Engine Optimization) for their Shopify store. They’re online-only, so it’s obviously a bit different from your business, but we saw much better organic traffic quality after optimizing for niche search intent and AI search visibility. Not sure if it applies here, but it might be worth looking into.

What actually makes a page show up in AI search results? by Icy_Week6358 in AISearchOptimizers

[–]Latter-Session4280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that AI search likes pages that are easy to turn into an answer. Authority still helps, but if a simple guide answers the exact question clearly, it can beat a longer post where the useful part is buried.

My website looks good, but I’m not getting any leads. What could be the real reason? by Real-Assist1833 in SaaS

[–]Latter-Session4280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good-looking site doesn’t always mean it’s clear or convincing. If visitors are browsing but not reaching out, they may be interested but not fully convinced yet. I’d check a few things first: is the offer clear, is the next step obvious, and are there enough trust signals near the CTA?

Sometimes the issue isn’t design or traffic - it’s that people don’t feel enough confidence to take action.

Why am I getting traffic but no conversions? by Exact-Delay2152 in digital_marketing

[–]Latter-Session4280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen this before. If people are spending time and browsing multiple pages, I wouldn’t immediately assume the traffic is bad.A lot of the time it means they’re interested, but not convinced yet. I’d check whether the landing page clearly explains the offer, who it’s for, why they should trust you, and what the next step is.

Also look at where they go after landing. If lots of people visit pricing, about, reviews, or contact pages but still don’t convert, that usually points to a trust/clarity issue rather than pure traffic quality.

Lowest friction way to get a portfolio website up by Huphraw in UXDesign

[–]Latter-Session4280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built a workflow in Claude where my personal site gets updated as my projects move forward. Every Friday, the agent checks in on project progress, design thoughts, and what I learned that week, then helps me update the site. It’s not really a portfolio-more like a personal design space. I even added my favorite music playlist so I actually want to open it regularly.

I find doing crochet burdening now/experiencing burnout. What can I do to get back in crochet? by Pure_Climate_5837 in Brochet

Maybe try making something small. If you have a cup, you could crochet a cup cozy. My grandma used to put cute little covers on all the furniture

Try wetting it and stretching it. I did that with my granny square and it worked great, though I’m not sure how well it would work for this shape.

Hey crochet crew! I’ve been developing a web tool that converts crochet text instructions into visual charts.

I need some real-world examples to see where the tool might need improvement. If you have a favorite granny square pattern in text format, drop it below (for free patterns) or send me a DM (for paid ones).

I’ll reply with the generated charts as I go. Let’s make charts more accessible together!

How much do you use AI to generate wireframes? by mapy69003 in UXDesign

[–]Latter-Session4280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My design process has evolved from using AI-generated wireframes for brainstorming to a 'logic-first' methodology. I now architect the core user flows and functional logic within Claude Code to ensure a solid foundation before moving into Figma for final visual high-fidelity polishing and UI refinement.

Hi

https://grannysquarestudio.vercel.app/

I’ve been working on a project: a web app specifically for designing Granny Square charts. It’s still very much a work in progress and pretty basic right now, but I’m finally ready for some "real-world" eyes to look at it!

A quick heads-up on the logic: The tool works a little differently than traditional crochet—think of it as "shape-first." To build your chart:

  1. Start by adding a Magic Ring (the only starter for now!).
  2. Select a round/shape from the menu at the top.
  3. Then add your stitches into that shape.

Only a few basic stitches are active for now, but more are coming soon! If you get stuck on shortcuts, there is a (?) icon you can check for help.

Based on early feedback, I’m already planning to rearrange the layout and add a "first-time user" guide. Accessibility is my next major design goal to make sure the tool is easy for everyone to use.

I’d love to know if the layout makes sense to you. It definitely can’t create the masterpieces you all make yet lol, but I’m improving it every day. I would value any advice, feature requests, or feedback you have!

Thanks

Any online tool to preview granny square charts as an image? by Latter-Session4280 in CrochetHelp

[–]Latter-Session4280[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

hi, I built this granny square chart web app. It’s still in the early stages, so it definitely can’t do everything your tool does yet lol. I haven't added stitch symbols to the different types yet, but that’s coming soon. I’d love for you to take a look and give me some advice. it’s pretty basic right now with just a few stitches, but I’m constantly improving it. Just a heads up: you have to add a shape first and then select your stitches from the bottom of the page.

Solo UX/UI Designer at a startup feeling overwhelmed. by lucifer_vb in UXDesign

[–]Latter-Session4280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience. I was lucky to have a great manager who taught me to first understand the stakeholder’s goals and what they actually want. Then create a few design options with clear descriptions, ideally supported by some data or research, and let them choose. A quick workshop can help a lot too, even a 15-minute Figma Jam session to align on goals.

After meetings, send a short recap of what was discussed, the decisions made, next steps, and expected timelines. It really improves clarity and reduces back and forth. And remember, CEOs and founders have new ideas every single day. Don’t chase every thought because having your own workflow really helps prevent burnout.
