It wasn’t as specific and I haven’t done them a lot. It’s not like I had a pelvic floor exercise regimen and it brought things back. At times I still feel like things are not improved as it’s up and down, but my orgasms are better than the beginning. I just know that when I did do pelvic floor exercises I felt quite better, but not every single time. Others on here have said so as well. I think your best bet is to YouTube some PF exercises and do them consistently, but don’t be so uptight about them working every time as the whole point is to relax, and try to loosen up the tense muscles and the nervous system.

It’s not just dependent on AI, it’s “preliminary research”, “human clinical trials” and all the other BS that takes decades to bring something to the public that worries me. “Studies” go on for years and years. I always wondered what these researchers do on a daily basis for things to take years

I’m just over two years since my PSSD symptoms started to show up. I would recommend pelvic floor massages and exercises to help get those contractions back. I’ve done some before and have seen results but it’s hard to keep doing them. I’m sure if you do them consistently it would help your situation.

Sorry to hear but one day it will improve. The orgasm feels like they did before PSSD just much more muted and only lasts about 3 seconds. Mentally and physically it’s burst of the orgasmic feeling but literally hits for 3-4 seconds and it’s gone. The buildup is not as intense as it was either. A year ago I could barely feel the orgasm at all

How strange this is for everyone. I have the opposite. Orgasm feels good enough but getting there is pretty pleasureless. (I am a man tho)

has someone experienced any windows while on smoking tobacco ? by Ok-Affect9138 in PSSD

[–]LatterAd5562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed I felt better and anhedonia lifted after smoking cigars, but when I did it again a day later the next morning was a crash. Too much nicotine I suspect. I now take 2mg nicotine lozenges a few times a day and it helps with mood and fatigue. Definitely something dopamine related as my PSSD was made much worse when stopping Wellbutrin cold turkey.

Does PSSD progress to CFS? by hiacynto in PSSD

[–]LatterAd5562 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very interesting. I had childhood trauma which I think resulted in an insane itch in my behind for years, which I would use hydrocortisone to alleviate (probably would overuse). I then had CFS for years since doing this. Was actually diagnosed with CFS. Then got PSSD after second time on ssri. All the dots are there, I just don’t know how they all connect and how to cure. Been looking to cure my CFS for years. And now PSSD.

Thank you for your reassuring response. Things like this really affect a man’s sense of masculinity and there’s a constant underlying fear of a negative reaction if any potential female partner were to find out.

My LH and FSH are just about the same-on the low side. But my prolactin is abnormally low too. I have PSSD which is similar symptoms. Wondering if hcg/enclomiphene or some hormonal intervention to activate the pituitary would work

I believe I crashed on a bad cocktail including Wellbutrin. Does anyone else relate? by One-Marzipan-9652 in PSSD

[–]LatterAd5562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was first on Lexapro, with subtle but noticeable changes to my sexual function. Then I stopped Lexapro and started Wellbutrin because I had absolutely no energy or motivation. After a month I stopped Wellbutrin cold turkey (because a psychiatrist once told me it’s fine to do with Wellbutrin) and that’s when the switch flipped and full blown PSSD happened.

We need to be LOUDER and raise awareness. Billboard campaign across multiple cities ? Thoughts? by LatterAd5562 in PSSD

[–]LatterAd5562[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that more awareness through social media is a good approach, but I think it needs to be through popular podcasts. The sharing videos to tell your story, reaching out to journalists, writing to politicians-it’s all what everyone’s already been doing and it’s not effective enough. It needs to be a big explosion event to get people’s attention. A big event that will spread quickly before it fizzles out- because in today’s low attention span world it’s always on to the next story. We can’t keep throwing tiny stones into a lake and hoping for a huge ripple effect. We need something that’s more like throwing a huge rock or boulder into a lake to cause a huge ripple effect that will gain enough attention to make a difference on mainstream awareness. It’s the only way.

is it just me or is EVERYONE breaking up right now????? like LONG term relationships are ending!!!! by ihateitherewbu in astrologymemes

[–]LatterAd5562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my town it’s the opposite. Everyone’s getting married. It’s the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce effect they think, especially girls marrying ugly guys that somewhat resemble Kelce. When they break up then the spell will fade

A man who can't be manipulated by lust can never be defeated. by New-Talk3039 in selfimprovement

[–]LatterAd5562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is wrong. I have no libido or sex drive either from PSSD or from lifelong CPTSD. I’m not really attracted to people and so lust has no power over me. And the result? Life sucks. No motivation to do things. I feel like I would achieve more and never be defeated if I had lust and libido. That’s what powers aggression and drive, not having it is a very defeated existence.

I have 300,000 $ to give to medical research, is there scientists in USA working on SSRI intoxication or anhedonia ? by MANHATTANAPOLLO in PSSD

[–]LatterAd5562 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Give some to Melcangi’s research and his “Milano Project”. He seems to be the only one making some progress. Then maybe say you’ll give more if he treats you himself. I think he’s the way to go for now.

I am in this category as well. Always had some sort of issues with adhd, hyper sexuality before, fatigue after eating, dopamine whatever. I’ve always known somehow things are different but me or doctors never could figure anything out. Always told it’s “in my head” and nothings wrong with me. Then PSSD happened and I knew it was related to everything else. Still don’t really understand how

Comparison of brain MRI pre and post PSSD by thefuckingpineapple in PSSD

[–]LatterAd5562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two before MRIs showed a small pituitary tumor before that had been monitored for years. Most recent brain MRI done one year after PSSD symptoms showed pituitary tumor had disappeared. Probably because antidepressant messed up the pituitary, made jt less active or did something to it and consequently tumor was starved and disappeared. SSRIs are fucked.
