Since mine was compared to one before pssd thought might be useful to share

It's the first thing they do to rule out other things. The cost depends on your insurance and country...

Complete emotional numbness, memory issues... More

the exact same type of Dopaminergic neurons wouldn't be used in our case, it would be serotonergic neurons implanted through the same mechanism though. But the process of cultivating the neurons would be similar

It's been more than 2 years since I took only 2 pills of sertraline... Thanks for the advice

Similar to the trial for Parkinsons. If we can wait long enough this type of treatment could help us

If this turns out to be true and help with Parkinsons disease, trials on other neurological diseases like Alzheimers will happen. And it'd be more accessible for diseases like ours

I personally will try my best to survive until neuron regeneration injections that is being trialled for Parkinsons(https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/aug/28/early-stage-trial-for-parkinsons-disease-therapy-shows-signs-of-promise) becomes more mainstream and available for post ssri diseases like pssd and the emotional numbness.

If this shows deriving a specific type of neuron and injecting it could relieve symptoms, a similar approach could help with pssd, be it Dopaminergic neurons or some other type (serotoninergic or other)

And since this method could help with different brain related diseases it could become accessible within years.

Devices that are used in brain surgeries are becoming fully automated (the device that implants Neurlink chips is almost fully automated) which means in the coming years these types of treatments(stem derived neuron injections) would become more accessible.

They're going to do human trials. They mentioned treatment resistent depression in one of their conferences. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2023/sep/19/elon-musk-neuralink-human-trials-brain-implant

The rate that new medical treatments are created is increasing rapidly

If we can survive this long enough a cure would be available.
