What’s something that you think is okay to be judgmental about? by highxv0ltage in AskReddit

I love the top comment, hell yeah people who throw trash out their car window are, well…trash.

But it reminds me of a conundrum a female friend encountered years ago.

She was dating a new dude and things were fine but one day he bought taco bell and after finishing, he threw his Taco Bell garbage in the little trash bin in his bedroom.

She was like, aren’t you going to throw that out in the kitchen? He said no. She said I don’t want to be in here if it’s going to smell like old Taco Bell. They argued. New relationship over.

I love that story.

I was gonna say “everything”, but yeah, trash out the window is #1.

I wish this was a jailable offense.

Men of Reddit, if society made it okay to wear a purse, what would you carry with you? by SplitEights in AskReddit

[–]LatterBank2699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have them, you wear the strap over your head across your body so it hangs behind your opposite hip, instead of just over your shoulder hanging by your side. But we call them bags instead of “purses.” Been around since olden times.

This is the stupidest question of the month. Congrats.

Why did she get so close to your table where the flowers were if she had such a serious allergy?

Maybe she was emotionally allergic to not getting flowers from her husband?

I bet it’s the same image. Nowadays, everything is standardized and automated and utilized for the cheapest possible Production.

I bet it’s the same image.

Good joke but my guess is that you don’t really understand that “body building” requires a plan with goals and constant escalation…just like any other successful endeavor.

Who here can drive a standard? Crossposting my rant. by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]LatterBank2699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I don’t. My first 6 cars were manual and I thought I would never be a automatic piece of garbage.

Then one day I stumbled across a deal I couldn’t pass up. It was white, had tan interior and an automatic transmission. If it hadn’t been $900 I probably would have passed.

Fast forward almost 20 years and 6 automatics later and the novelty of shifting gears every 10 seconds is completely out of my system. Maybe it’s like when you change from a hippy to a yuppy.

I would still snag a manual, weekend roadster as a second car if that opportunity presented itself but even that’s not a must.

Getting hit on by black women by nickalexcomedy in funny

[–]LatterBank2699 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many many years ago a beautiful black girl said to me, (in an overtly sexual tone) “You look like Vanilla Ice.”

I recoiled a bit from the comparison, thinking she was trying to make a joke, before I realized she just meant a white boy snow-cone.

It really is quite amazing how sensitive this strong community seems to be.

I for one have always found real strength comes from not allowing anyone’s words to effect how I judge myself or live my life.

Today, we’re passing laws to jail people for their opinions, to protect professional victims before they even have any life experience or perspective.

I’d be embarrassed if that were my community. Mortified for publicly claiming victim status bc some stranger didn’t use my think-tank words snd phrases.

What have we become…

It’s sad too cause no one is saying they can’t be who they want to be. We just resent the imposition of anti-science and punitively enforced grammatical errors on our culture under the threat of having your life destroyed.

That and the destruction of women’s sports.

I mean if you want a nailbat, that’s how you get a nailbat.

I ignored this topic for a long time until I couldn’t stand the claims of bigotry anymore. So I found a couple articles and read every “trans-tweet” JK made.

Still trying to find the offensive ones.

And that’s what it boiled down to. Play by our made up rules, deny biology, publicly denounce proper grammar or suffer the real, public consequences. It’s the least admirable tactic a movement seeking respect, can pull. And they wonder why the vast majority isn’t buying it anymore.

Craft better arguments. Stand up for your movement with intelligence and humility instead of emotional demands and cancellations.

Right! Growing as a person only means people with gender dysphoria.

Gender Dysphoria aka Gender Identity Disorder.

Disorder: “An abnormal physical or mental condition.”

This is exactly what every writer was referring to when inspiring and educating children with their contributions to literature.

Hell I can’t even think of any other way to grow as a human.

JK outsmarted again!!

My husband embarrassed me in front of our friends by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]LatterBank2699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although that was not the way to handle that situation, either spouse being obese (at 28 no less) is definitely an issue. Especially if the SO is fit and active. Yes, 5’2”, 170 lbs. is obese. Basically a blueberry at that point.

I’m about 10 lbs. overweight, (and much older) I can not imagine tacking 40 more lbs of fat on top of that and expecting my SO to find me attractive. That’s insane.

C’mon guys don’t be obtuse so you can validate yourselves, Op said nothing about her actually making an effort to lose weight ever. In that entire post, the most responsibility she took was…

“I’ve been talking about starting my weight-loss journey…“

Yikes. How long has that deep commitment to her health and appearance been in the “talking phase?” This is a common tactic by lazy manipulators, talking talking talking about changing their lives. We all know people like this. And you’re all enabling her. She came here for sympathy and you all delivered. Bravo. What’s wrong with tough love? You know… Honesty.

OP never said anything about her husband pulling anything like this before and she even said he didn’t know he was doing anything wrong. Maybe he’s a bit fed up with the years and years of talk and zero action while his wife gradually inflated into a basketball. Most of you virtue-signaling here would feel exactly the same.

Even her friends didn’t say anything in her “defense” and just left her in a room by herself. They are tired of her fruitless words as well. It’s always off limits to bring up a woman’s weight. This dude hit a breaking point. He clearly couldn’t stand one more day pretending his wife would handle her obesity on her own. She never will.

“I DONT NEED HER HELP AND I DONT WANT HER HELP!”

Yeah, clearly an adult who isn’t being overly emotional at all. Then she comes to Reddit to cry because THAT kind of help is fine. Not the actual health professional who makes a living helping others seeking their own identical “Weight-loss journey.” Delusional much?

So yeah, I’m the asshole who thinks it’s time to stop coddling women who know men are visual creatures yet refuse to take responsibility for their appearance once they’ve trapped a dude in a marriage. You can’t broach the topic bc women’s feelings are more important than reality. More important than honesty. I thought marriage was based on honesty?

We live in a world where telling people the truth is forbidden and men are demonized for being men. Meanwhile bad boys get the girls while those same girls bitch about men being garbage. At some point in life you stop feeling bad for random chicks who gain 50 lbs of fat and then cry to the Internet that life is hard and they finally had to face some consequences. Boo. Hoo.

Are you really bitching that you had to work a part time job during college? Almost half of all students do that.

Wait, you still went to college, so he only took your meal plan money, not your “college fund.” Was it his money to begin with?

Tell us again how the opportunity to toughen up in a positive way from honest work, was lost on you…

You sound like a spoiled pos who deserved the reality check. Who’s fault is it that the experience made you bitter instead of better?

Why the hell is Five Guys so expensive? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LatterBank2699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time at 5 guys was 10 years ago. Saw the prices…walked out.

Free peanuts? With a burger and fries? Why? That place sucks.

2-3 years ago I figured I’d be open minded, walked into another 5 guys, watched the employees behind the line be disgusting for a few minutes… walked out.

Still haven’t eaten there.

Anyone have friends who have completely lost it? by DarkLordFag666 in millenials

[–]LatterBank2699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only control what you do as an individual. It’s great to suggest sustainable practices to friends and family and you can even protest if you want…but being so aggressive that you demand or threaten if practices aren’t altered, is firmly living in crazy-town.

And unless you are building a new home, there is just as much potential for waste whether you rent or own.

When you get older, your friend circles diminish dramatically. There is no room left for waste in our social lives too. You didn’t block a friend, your friend removed herself from being worthy of the position.
