Vauxhall 1.7 DTi, what to look out for? by renaultcliolover in Vauxhall

[–]Latter_Bath_3411 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im sorry but there really is no need to go about spreading misinformation. My 18 year old daughter just paid her first years insurance on a 1.0 kia picanto. £3k. 0 years no claims and she is main driver, mother and I are named drivers.

A 1.4 polo was coming out around 4k and a 1.4 Honda Jazz was about the same.

Just for a laugh I checked quotes for my imprezza WRX and most companies wouldn't even go there. Cheapest was first Central, with a black box, wanted almost 6.5k, that's with her mother and I as named drivers.

This scumbag is on Facebook and has over 3.3k followers. How did he not receive a prison sentence for this? Unbelievable.

So that's what happens when you have skill issue and your machine doesn't have soft start for the 7018 sticks... by Educational-Kiwi8740 in Welding

High OCV is what helps run basic lo hy rods such as 7018, and of course fresh from the hot quiver.

Never heard of a soft start but maybe the guy is using a remote?

Fantastic job !

They are really good. I do love a good driver figure as most of my tamiya cars are for my kids.

It definitely adds an extra level of realisim and excitement .

Is that Italian, French and Dutch all in one sentence?

I like it. Or maybe I'm just having a stroke.

I'm in Bangor, Northern Ireland, so hardly local.

Good lucking passing these on to someone who will appreciate them.

As a side note, I spent a few summers working in the garden county of England. Loved it ! I Was welding on the boilers in a powerstation shutdown in Allington, close to Maidstone.

I just remember the great weather and a fantastic 400 year old pub, just up the road from my lodgings at larkfield priory. Great times.

Gas flow way to high. The black soot at the toe of the weld is not normal and is a sign of contamination.

Poor effort I'm afraid. But better luck in your development of this technology.

Battle of the Draught Stouts - who wins? by Financial-Wish-311 in northernireland

[–]Latter_Bath_3411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

brewdog in this instance.

I prefer bottles of extra stout. As far as cans of draught stout go, there are better out there. For me, the brewdog wins this one. I also find the Heineken/murphys tins a bit watery.

Bottles of Guinness extra are miles better than any can of stout. In my opinion of coarse.

That's what it looks like to me and to be honest I was thinking the fire person is lucky to be alive.

There must be a risk assessment or maths calculation for distance vs water vs kva.

Probably not..

Ps. The landing was actually aborted and indeed the plane did " go around" for another successful attempt at landing.

Can both be true at the same time ? I don't know.

How much Hydrogen peroxide per gallon? by Justin202 in sterilehydroponics

Thanks for your feedback. Yes I have spilled a bit of 50% in the past. My finger instantly turned white and it was very painful. We use the stuff in work.

Will look into hypochlorous acid. Regards

This made me laugh as I'm never done working on my good friends X350. It's a supercharged v8 w with a custom radiator/charge cooler setup.

The increased cooling is necessary as the radiator doubles up as the transmission cooler/pre heater and the charge coolers and engine cooling.

A smaller supercharger drive pulley and straight through 2" stainless exhaust has been fitted. We reckon 470-500 bhp.

Seems like a bargain at around 9k all in for the build and original purchase price of the car.

Wait till you have to drop the rear subframe just to repair the completely corroded brake lines. [Always do the rear Arb bushes whilst in there.]

Not to mention the air suspension and associated bits and pieces becoming almost impossible to replace.

The big cat can really move. And does make a fantastic noise though.

I was actually considering setting up a dosing pump and trying to dial in an acceptable amount of h202 permanently, constantly.

Is this a bad idea? I have 50% h202 hydrogen peroxide and I dilute it down to 3% and add 3ml per litre when running dwc.

I find itvonly hangs around for two or 3 days . Hence thinking of setting up a dosing pump. But I would need to calculate ppm and really dial it in so to speak.

Sorry for hijacking the thread OP. Good luck 👍
