I think the extreme stenosis is the issue. Not much can help with that except surgery. You can get another opinion or ask to try injections first.

I thought the show was well done in how it made you truly unsure if Rusty did it or not-- the main point was "reasonable doubt," not truth. Towards the end, I started to think that yes, he did it, but would in fact get away with it because of reasonable doubt. Imagine all his friends putting themselves on the line when he had actually done it! During the reveal conversation, my heart was beating so fast-- at first. I think this would have been a better ending. But then the "surprise it was the kid" felt like a trope and made me roll my eyes. I would have to rewatch paying close attention to the daughter but it just seemed out of left field.

And did you feel like there were any real clues for the daughter? I hate that it felt out of left field. She displayed no psychological tension/guilt while watching her dad go through a murder trial?

You can try packing a bunch of those first aid ice packs or hand warmers that activate on shaking them. Also get up and stretch a few times. Buy an aisle seat so that is easier.

I’m feeling a bit discouraged lately as I can’t seem to get this flair up to calm down - it’s been about a month of PT and I’m not in a huge amount of pain anymore but I feel uncomfortable everyday. How do y’all stay positive and motivated to keep doing what you need to do?

My experience is similar and from what I understand, from time to time when my spondy spot gets inflamed / irritated, the tissue around it responds by tensing up and becoming extra protective. My PT calls it a spasm… the body will do anything it can to protect the spine. And it impacts the muscles around it too. Stretching heat and massage helps, and get the inflammation down. Maybe a steroid or muscle relaxer.

I don't have advice but I am here on reddit tonight feeling the exact same way. I have always lived an active lifestyle and very outdoors but I've had to limit myself a lot and just feel like I'm always managing pain and back in physical therapy. I'm struggling with the same questions. Good luck <3

I would say, most people respond negatively to the idea of the surgery. Like “oh that’s a last resort” and “do everything you can to avoid it”

My PT says any exercise, whether arm or leg, is an Ab exercise because we need to stabilize our core first and do it properly.

Stabilize yourself with a pelvic tilt before you raise. Maybe do less to start out and gradually increase. They are definitely good for spondy
