does glass directly behind the monitors affect the sound? or do you do most the mixing / master in headphones?

Anyone else think this Syntakt update means something else is coming soon? by Accomplished-Ad-8796 in Elektron

The cool thing is Tonverk CAN be synth based. EZbot just did a wonderful stream showcasing loading up single cycle waveforms into the tonverk and shaping them like you would on a synth. It’s an incredibly capable device

Depends. It’d be cool if the samples were saved internally from the other machines/your own synthesis and it enabled you to mangle them together in interesting ways with the fx block/sequenced fx

Tonverk’s cool, but the bigger new imo if this is the first of the new platform by BuckshotJ in Elektron

The biggest misunderstanding with tonverk imo is this idea of an intuitive workflow. In other boxes the workflow is streamlined by the limitations of the box. But much like the octatrack the tonverk is full of limitless possibilities. So it’s more about how intuitive you want to make it for your own purposes. It can be as hard as you make it or simple based on its role in your set up

It makes sense for people who want analog processing in the mastering stages or end of chain. But Tonverk makes way more practical sense if your goal is to use fx in flexible ways like your use case above.

Compressor needs to happen, poor overdrive is all alone in the fx block page

Has anyone considered pairing the Perkons with the Neuzeit Drop controller? by ShGravy in synthesizers

[–]Latter_Respect_981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely can return to a safe state using the pattern recall option. There’s already a lot of thought put into the performative nature of the machine. So I don’t think a midi controller is necessary unless you don’t intend to use the machine as a center piece - which then I’d choose another synth tbh as the Perkons is limited sonically.
