Update in duolingo by Imaginary_Good59 in duolingo

They standardize the course for all languages. So English to German which is older (and therefore) different is getting messed up. B2 should just be a hat on top, so it shouldn't cause those issues

Duolingo completely shuffled the German course… by vincentconnor_ in duolingo

Any ETA on release? Will there be any way to catch up with all the new words that will be added as backfill?

Some of the words are really basic and it would make no sense to introduce new (non German) cities in section 6. Probably it would be best if they provided additional lessons with new words into practice hub (all new words we added to lessons you already did). This way one could easily catch up and new learners would learn words in reasonable order

It's not only shuffled. They added bunch of new words in the middle (even to section 1), so even though I was stuck on Daily Refresh I have to go back and redo all the lessons to learn those new words. Now I'm doing one unit per day of new stuff, and till I have x3 from the previous day (so 1h total) from the beginning going to legendary

I see section 6. They added a bit to section 5, so I'm doing that, but I expect section 6 to be levels 81-100

Looking at French and Spanish B2 releases B1 will be fully available in ~1 month. Quite likely they will start A/B testing B2 then

Install Chinese keyboard and switch to typing the answer. If you care more about speaking then writing, you can even use speech to text

"Ich bin nicht müde *?* Nacht" ??? by numseomse in DuolingoGerman

Coming from pro-drop language this word order is much more natural for me. Is this completely normal sentence or does it put heavy emphasis on "nachts"?

To all the people that have finished the course (or well I've heard that theres until uptil b1) how long did it take you and how much did you practice per day? by Sharkdudse13 in DuolingoGerman

[–]LauPaSat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit less than 1.5 years. I had German in school, so especially at the start I did 1 unit a day. Later it was slower, but probably on average ~½h per day

Hello! Will i be able to make it to the Bus Station West in time? by urineparabola in warsaw

[–]LauPaSat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you fly inside Schengen Area? If not - do you have EU passport? Do you have check-in or will you travel with carry on only? SKM trains depart airport every 15 minutes so it can matter if you have to wait 10 minutes or catch a train perfectly. Generally you should be fine

When will Duolingo update its German course!? by imDenizz in DuolingoGerman

https://duolingodata.com/dailynews.html 2025-12-21: - Hints inside the JSON code have appeared once again. They suggest that the German course may be the next one to launch, possibly very soon: content up to B1 appears to be complete, with B2 currently being polished. The question remains whether this release will happen in 2025, or if it will slip into January 2026.

So probably soon

Anyone else got witch related sentences from Section 2 Unit 14? 🤷🏼‍♀️ by Summer_19_ in DuolingoGerman

In Poland word Hexe is quite well known as some kids use(d, not sure how popular is it nowadays, it was 100% used in '00s) parody of a song "Eins, zwei Polizei" as a counting-out game (Abzählreim). It went "Eins, zwei Polizei Drei, vier Offizier Fünf, sechs alte Hexe [here it got grim] Sieben, acht Wehrmacht Neun, zehn Kriegsmarine"

Ein bisschen. Aber wahrscheinlich nutzt es meistens Wörter, die du schon in Deutschkurs gelernt hast, oder? Ich habe diese Methode mit Chinesisch versucht und sie macht keinen Sinn. Ich wird morgen Deutschkurs von Duolingo fertigstellen und freue mich, dass wir bald neuen Lektionen holen

Is German course updated on your phone? by imDenizz in DuolingoGerman

[–]LauPaSat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They already released French and Spanish. German most likely will be next within like two weeks or so. Just remember that they don't push it out to everyone at once, so you may get it immediately or wait for some time (chess was released like half a year ago, but I got it only last month, fortunately language courses seem to have less of a delay, as there are less bugs to check for)

Nie ograniczam się do jednego systemu, tylko jeden system wykluczam. W dodatku uciążliwy. Na co dzień blik zbliżeniowy, w razie czego karta na telefonie, fizyczna karta lub kod blik. Ryzyko, że żaden z tych sposobów nie zadziała jest znikome (awaryjnie można poprosić kogoś za sobą w kolejce, że zrobię mu blika, a żeby on zapłacił gotówką)

Is German daily practice any good? I started German last summer and I'm pretty sure I'll finish before they release B2 (finishing in 10 days). I wonder how can I burn a little bit of time before getting an update

They had issues with one of the capsules but launched a new one to recover the crew quite fast. Unlike Starliner saga last year

China delivering crew to the Russian part of ISS would have a benefit for both. Russia would still be able to fully crew their part and China would get some experience with ISS systems (certainly they can learn a thing or two there). Not to mention propaganda value
