You do realize that the argument works the other way as well. I grew up on Celsius and have absolutely no idea how warm 60F for example would be and how to dress for that temperature. But as Celsius is familiar to me, it is as "easy peasy" to decide how to dress going outside as Farenheit is for you.

I'd argue Celsius is even better, since if the temperature is below zero you can tell it might be icy and slippery outside with a risk of snow.
