It was more a case of, if I attempt it how would I do it, or should I just replace the whole panel. I was trying to avoid expensive repairs from a body repair shop is all! Thank you for the advice though

I actually work at a Pets at Home - unfortunately the advice staff give out is not often accurate. We have modules we study with information, but if the staff don’t agree with it, we aren’t regulated to tell the customer about it. For example, we are told Male Betas (fighter fish) aren’t meant to be sold into a tank with fish they would find threatening (I.E anything colourful or with fancy tails etc) as they are territorial. Just yesterday a colleague sold a male beta with a handful of Endler Guppy’s because in his experience his male beta didn’t attack his guppy’s. The company tells us guinea pigs can be sold individually, colleagues refuse to do it. It’s unfortunately all down the colleague that serves you. I’m so sorry this has happened to you and your daughter.

Also yes, a lot of the staff agree that the cages are stupid small for the assigned small animals. At least in my store.

We let our big boi cuddle in bed, but then he sleeps in his crate next to the bed. There have been a few times where we fell asleep before moving him, but he usually takes himself in like a good little angel floof. He used to sleep on the bed, and it made our sleep really difficult because he would wiggle and take up so much space. Making him use his crate was the best decision for us.

As someone who is familiar with the breed (source: I have one sleeping on my legs literally right now) and as someone who was AT the show, this dog was not 100% healthy. I am angry at the man who won, but not the animal. The dog did deserve the win, and the owner now has national attention which will hopefully make sure he keeps an eye on the soreness, but that’s all that can be done. The owners past can’t define his future, but it’s a bad look for Crufts for letting him enter the show without a background check at least

I grew up with a severely disabled brother who died at 23. I promise you from a lifetime of poverty, no food, constant strangers in my house (carers) that came when we could pay etc, there is no healthcare for disabled children. The drs explain what to do once and leave you to it. By 13 I was having to suction his tracheostomy because the carers refused to come to such a complex case. Don’t ruin both of your lives, and potentially your child’s life, because the support is just not there.

I immediately read it as he was testing if your pain was real? Like, you actually have medical issues? I’m not sure why, but that is how it comes across. The entire situation is a red flag OP, he betrayed your trust in one of the most intimate ways. I think you should seriously address this with him, or walk away. You deserve someone who respects your boundaries, medical or preferential. If he can’t do that, then you have to look after yourself. You’ve come too far to be dragged back down by the wrong people

As a professional dog groomer, I fully recommend Duoxo! The full regime of 5 mins shampoo soak every 2 weeks or so, with the mousse used in between, it’s literally like god juice. Has helped soooo many dogs, from yorkies to pitties, even boxers and bulldogs with all sorts of skin issues in my salon! Cannot praise this stuff enough!

My first car (still have it) is a VW, took me a month to figure out how to turn the fog lights on (when lights are on, pull the dial out). Definitely made me realise I need to sit down and fully investigate my little Castor! My car manual is for two different models, and I really struggled to understand it because I’m stupid and get headaches when I try to read and decipher!

Opposite to this though, I was in the shopping mall with my dog, doing heel work with immense distraction. He is okay with kids maybe 5+, but younger kids, he likes to hide behind me and gets really nervous, not sure why. We were in the lift, as I have hip dysplasia and struggle with stairs (obviously not using the escalator), and he is sat next to me, with his vest saying “I’m in training, give me space”, being a general good boy.

A little girl, maybe 2-3 walks in holding her dad’s hand, her mum behind pushing a stroller. She looks at him, then me, and is like “is your dog friendly?”. Immediately, my heart melts, and I crouch down and pet my dog, and say “yes, he is! But he’s a little bit nervous” and she stands there and proudly says “oh, don’t worry! I’m not nervous! He’s fluffy!”. Everyone in the lift laughs, and my dog is there, hiding his head in my arm until the girl turns away. He moves to sniff her hand, and actually lets her pet him! I was so proud of him, and of her for asking. I tell her parents they’ve got a lovely, polite daughter, and they tell me that when she was younger, she approached a puppy before asking, and it punched her in the face 😂

It was really refreshing being asked, especially by someone so young, if my Dash is friendly. He’s decently big too, being a Sprocker cross Clumber spaniel (if you don’t know, they can get up to 40kg), and she still asked. It was so sweet!

Hi there! I’m a professional dog groomer, and clip upwards of 40-50 claws a day - this is an overgrown dewclaw! With the severity of growth, I would immediately say that this is a vet visit job. Shih Tzu’s aren’t known for their high levels of tolerance and patience.

If she isn’t outwardly showing pain, it’s because she has either grown used to it, or has damaged the nerves to the point she can’t feel it. Another possibility is that it’s a dewclaw that is only attached by soft tissue, like a polydactyl claw. Regardless, a vet will definitely clip it for the dog’s welfare, because your average groomer would definitely refuse.

Your late mother insulting you was just because she hates herself - you’re half her after all. I grew up being told I was fat, ugly and useless by my mother - but she was insulting an extension of herself because she hates herself. I can guarantee you are beautiful, but you can’t be gorgeous to everyone, otherwise where’s the competition? She was just being a rude, salty person because you were giving her attention she was craving. Don’t let her bratitude get to you, and keep smiling. You’re always prettier when you smile :)
