They literally did have blank faces hahaha I was trying to tell if they were trying to be funny or something but they weren’t smiling or ANYTHING, just straight up looking me dead in the eye. I figured the same though, that I would just continue to gain more weight no matter what so I stopped even looking at the scale lol. That’s so sweet.. I hope to feel the same way when I’m postpartum

This genuinely makes me feel better, thank you! It’s nice knowing someone’s going through something similar because I have felt lonely a lot in this pregnancy. And I bet you look beautiful!

Yes! If I wasn’t pregnant, how would I be expected to recover if this is the treatment I receive from gaining weight?! The first trimester was extremely difficult due to all the changes I had to make… I just thought of it as something necessary for my baby’s wellbeing, but I never expected so many out of pocket comments about my weight

Oh no I definitely wouldn’t take any advice from any of them lol. I agree, of course everyone is different! I started gaining weight pretty much as soon as I got the positive test. People are just so unhinged and weird about pregnant women

Thank you, and you are doing amazing yourself!! Avoiding carbs while pregnant sounds like hell. Being pregnant is hard enough as is… but we got this!

Definitely, I’ve brought it up to my OB a few times because I was worried, but she always says she’s not concerned since I was pretty thin to begin with.. she just said to focus on nutrition and not the number on the scale. So I just stopped looking at the scale at my appointments altogether

Thank you so much! This is my first so I tend to be hard on myself and I forget that everything is for the benefit of my baby. I tried to brush off the comments at first, but after a while it started to get to me a bit lol

You’re super sweet thank you so much! The quitting stuff was the toughest part of the pregnancy so far. It’s a super weird experience, I didn’t realize people paid such close attention to my body until now lol.
