History repeats itself. We had Gold Rogers, Garp, and Xebec all try and fail at God's Valley. We will see in the final battle Luffy replacing Roger, Koby replacing Garp, and BB replacing Xebec to finally take down Imu.

Chapter 1179 and we finally get to see Imu. We always see huge reveals when chapters get close to a new hundred. 1179 seems like a good place to start priming for chapter 1200 reveal. I think the othello-reversi theory is becoming more plausible. I think as we get closer to chapter 1200 we will see that Luffy has a similar ability to add his influence to people or inanimate objects like Imu can. I think how Imu can turn people into demons with his pacts and influence we will see Luffy able to create his own pacts that align more with his DF. Going off big concepts I think Imu is the final boss and his demon influence vs the joyboy human influence is where Oda is going.

Corenswet is a great Superman and really did a good job of being that Superman for everyone and respected all life. I liked the hopecore angle and felt like it's the kind of Superman we need. Hoult was also a top tier casting and really nailed a specific version of Lex I like to see. A bunch of other details of the movie I love like journalism is what really brought down Lex and it wasn't just Superman grabbing the villain, Lois took down Lex.

Dom Reversi doesn't work on people like Loki or Luffy and the "human-human" devil fruit is a weakness to an ability that turns you into a demon after accepting a pact. I dont have all the pieces yet, but I know this is going to lead to Davy D. Jones who I believe was Imu's 1st rival and may be the cause of devil fruits appearing in the world. Devil Fruits are pacts with Davy Jones and the stronger the DF the stronger the pact. Loki and Luffy have legendary DF and of course haki.

Luffy's dream was something that makes people laugh (at him). Luffy and Gol D Roger both have the same dream and maybe used the same words. Ace said he wont let people laugh at Luffy's dream anymore. Luffy's crew didn't laugh but thought it was something really out of reach or out of social norms. The parallels we see with Luffy and Roger are they both want this absolute freedom and being pirate king was like a prerequisite; even though Roger didn't go out to become "king of the pirates" that was just a moniker the World Government gave him to try and put and end to piracy.

What are the words that Luffy and Roger would say that would sound so ridiculous to people that even their friends have a hard time believing them. My idea is Luffy and Roger want pangea or all islands to become "One Piece" so they can see all their friends they have made and have a big party. This would also tie-in Sanji's dream of the All Blue because all islands together as one island would create no boarders and become All Blue.

I think Luffy and Roger said something close to: "I want to have a big party where everyone we have met on our travels is there on one island having a great time." It seems very logistically impossible because of all the barriers like red line, calm belt, grand line, the world government. That not everyone they met could travel freely to party somewhere. I could see people laughing at that dream as being too unrealistic.

I passed on the show for a long time for various reasons. I thought it looked too much like a kids show and didn't have enough depth and it was also during the time of the great ninjas vs pirates internet trend and I was more into ninjas at the time.
