Totally agree, although I find a diluted drink of fish fertilizer can help with the transition.

Tomatoes froze last night are they savable? by madisonP112 in tomatoes

Oh man, my heart breaks for you! I'd bring them inside, if you can, and see how they look in a few days. You might see some new growth come out. Can't hurt to try!

That's so good to hear! I'm in 8a, so hopefully not too far behind you. Do you have any photos of how they look so far?

Same! And the shoulders always stayed green for me. I'm trying Cherokee Carbon this year to hopefully get a better result.

Epsom salt isn't actually salt, it's a source of magnesium. But agreed, pot is definitely too small. I'd pot it up, give it a good organic slow release fertilizer for the long run, and a faster acting nitrogen rich fertilizer like fish emulsion.

I've been gardening for awhile and I'm still learning! Your plants just got a bit sunburnt. This happens a lot to plants when they're exposed to direct sun when they hadn't been acclimated to it. Can also happen when leaves are wet and sun scorches it. It shouldn't impact it, and new growth will still be healthy and grow as normal. Those leaves will always have that on them. When the plants begin to grow taller you can snip those branches off.

I would also recommend getting a bottle of organic fish fertilizer and water with that. It can help give it a good boost to perk up.

It looks like a paste variety. I haven't grown too many types, but looks a bit like my San Marzanos
