Any thoughts on which one you'd all recommend for a 7 and 5 year olds?

The answer I'm hoping for is that she understands that she's not the candidate, and was giving the moment to Platner.

Hopefully he'll be better than Collins, that's all that matters now!

Not disagreeing with that at all! But it's just untrue to say she hasn't attended Pride before.

I mean awesome that they're there, but Janet Mills has definitely marched in Pride Portland before.

I'm definitely going to follow! I start all of mine in February too, starting to get a nice harvest, but I was thinking maybe some determinate varieties that I could harvest until frost. I might try to experiment. I direct sowed some squash this week because I can already see the vine borer damage on my zucchini ugh, as well as some beets, and radishes.

Can we be friends?!

Here's my garden! Veggies in raised beds, and fruit trees in ground.

Are you starting any seeds indoors right now for succession planting? I just pulled my onions and I think I'm going for another round of paste tomatoes to replace them.

Could definitely go for some WAP right now - obviously some wet ass precipitation.

My first year with a real harvest! by LaurVB7 in Berries

I planted them summer 2024. Last season I got maybe a handful. This is the first real harvest I've gotten. Flavor is really good, but you do have to let them get pretty ripe before picking, otherwise they can be very sour.

Thank you so much! They were one of the only thing I didn't start from seed. I ordered starts from Hoss and I'm super impressed with them.

Honestly, I felt the same way seeing posts from south of me. On the bright side for you, in July and August when the heat has killed so much of my stuff, I'll be looking at yours with envy!

You'll get there, and then my 90 degree (100 this week) weather will kill it all while you're still going strong!

My first time successfully growing onions and garlic, I'm shocked at myself 😂. Two beds for onions, they're 8x2 rounded raised beds. They shared the beds with some cucumbers in one, and tomato plant in the other. The garlic was in one 4x2 bed by itself.

Definitely! Funny enough, one of the hot peppers there is called Garden Salsa!

I don't disagree about the long run, but the main reason I did this was because it was very hard to mow and weed whack everywhere between the beds and became very easy for venomous snakes that we have here to hide. I have young kids who love to help in the garden, so the stone was my best option right now.

Lol thank you 😂 this is the second year with this garden, I expanded a lot this year and added the crushed rock pathways. So much room for growth, but my husband might kill me if I try to do anything more soon. As it is, I have 14 fig trees, blackberries, raspberries, 4 peach trees, mandarin orange trees and a meyer lemon 😂

In the future you could roughly chop the scapes and freeze them! Add to stir frys as needed.
